Hazakura Ways uses a classic Japanese warrior theme with standard card symbols, different warriors and a blossom as wild.
The game comes with 5 reels, each 4 symbols high, giving 4096 ways.
Scatter and wild symbols appear on all reels. The game comes with some different features and option.
Mega Bet
You can activate Mega Bet on this game which will increase your bet by 50%. Activating this will increase the chances of triggering free spins and the random feature. It will also make the wild join the active bonus symbol during free spins feature.
Random Feature
During any normal spin a random symbol may become the active bonus symbol. All these symbols will expand downwards on the reels and will pay no matter where on the reels.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols, which are lanterns, will award 10, 15, 20 and 25 free spins respectively.
Before free spins start a random symbol is chosen, not including wild or scatter. This will be the active bonus symbol.
This symbol will expand downwards on the reels and will pay no matter where on the reels. These wins don’t need to start on reel 1.
3 or more scatter symbols during free spins will add more free spins.
Bonus Buy
You are able to buy the free spins feature for 80 times your bet. Or buy the bonus with the Mega Bet activated for 120 times your bet and include the wild symbols as expanding symbol.
Verdict
Of course we’ve seen a lot of “Book of” slot games. Maybe even too much. But Relax Gaming did manage to create a more interesting version. Not only because of the 4096 ways, but also because this one can pay out a maximum win of 50.000 times your bet. Which is huge! Most “Book of” games cap at 5.000 times.
The theme is fine, nothing really new, but at least not overdone.
Overall I think Hazakura Ways is a great addition to the already amazing Relax Gaming catalogue. And a great new “Book of” version for all those fans.
