Floating Dragon – Hold & Spin is a new online slot game by Pragmatic Play in conjunction with Reel Kingdom’s.
The game comes with 10 lines on 5 reels, each 3 symbols high. And it uses a pretty unique Asian kite theme with very colorful symbols.
There are all kinds of kite symbols and also standard card symbols. The game also features special fish symbols that can appear stacked on all reels and comes with cash rewards on them. Wild symbols don’t appear during normal play. Scatter symbols appear on all reels. And special gold coin symbols appear stacked on reel 3.
Free Spins Feature
Getting 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins a new lady symbols is added which also acts as a wild symbol.
When one or more fish symbols appear together with this symbol all values on the fish are collected. The symbol itself is also collected each time it appears.
Every time you collect 4 of them you will trigger 10 more free spins and the multiplier will increase. It will start on x1 and each retigger will increase to x2, x3 and finally x10.
All wins, including the fish values will be multiplied with the active multiplier.
Hold & Spin Feature
If gold coins appear stacked on reel 3 you will trigger the Hold & Spin feature.
The coins all have a value on them and these are collected. After this you get 3 re-spins and each time one or more coins land on other reels, all coins are collected again and the re-spins reset to 3.
Special diamond symbols also appear during this feature which are worth between 100 and 5.000 times bet. Gold coins are worth between 1 and 20 times bet.
The features ends when you run out of re-spins.
Verdict
Floating Dragon – Hold & Spin adds together some game mechanisms which are already know, but does it on a very well way.
The free spins feature is very nice. It’s not new, but the re-trigger and increasing multiplier is a nice twist. And can pay out very good.
The Hold & Spin feature is a lot like all those Lock & Link bonuses we see these days, but it’s nice that three coins that trigger the bonus are collected each time new coins land and are the only coins that keep in place. It is also pretty cool that special diamond symbols with up to x5000 are possible. But of course very rare.
I really like this game. It combines two great features in one slot game and they did it well!
