Wild Tundra Overview
It’s been a while since I last posted about a Red Tiger Gaming release. No specific reason, but I rarely post about them.
So it’s time to give their new release, Wild Tundra some much deserved attention.
Wild Tundra comes with prehistoric theme with different animals, like a mammoth and a cold, frozen cave background.
The game uses 5 reels, each 4 symbols high and comes with 1024 ways.
The game comes with standard card symbols and different animals. It also comes with a Free Spins symbol on all reels. There are no wild symbols on Wild Tundra.
Wild Tundra Features
Cascading Symbols
Every winning combination is removed and all symbols fall down. New symbols fall on top creating a new possibility for another winning combination. This keeps happening until no new win appears.
Super Symbols
All symbols can also appear as Super Symbols. Only one type of Super Symbol can appear during each spin. A Super Symbol is bigger than normal symbols and also has a multiplier. Super Symbols can be 1×2 big with a x3 multiplier, 1×3 big with a x5 multiplier or 1×4 big with a x8 multiplier.
Free Spins Feature
Three scatter symbols will award 9 free spins. Every extra scatter symbol triggering the bonus will add 1 more free spin.
Before free spins start one random symbol (not the mammoth symbol) is picked as special transforming symbol. This symbol will transform into the mammoth when it lands on the reels.
When 3 scatter symbols appear during free spins you will get 3 more free spins with an additional transforming symbol.
The multiplier during free spins will start at x1. After each winning combination this multiplier will go up to a maximum of x20.
Verdict
This new Red Tiger Gaming slot feels a bit like a Megaways slot. Sure it only uses 1024 ways, but it does offer cascading symbols and also an increasing multiplier during free spins.
This game looks great and plays very smoothly. I like thee Super Symbols, which can award some great wins. But especially the free spins feature is very exciting. Transforming symbols into the mammoth, which is the highest paying symbol, can really award some huge rewards.
