Raging Rex 2 Overview
Three years ago Play’n Go released a game called Raging Rex. A 4096 ways slot with stacked wilds, respins and free spins bonuses. This game was pretty popular and was also, in my opinion, a great game. Now Play’n Go released a sequel, Raging Rex 2.
Raging Rex 2 feels and looks a lot like the original. A dinosaur themed game with stones, dinosaurs and eggs. Against a jungle background.
The game uses 6 reels which are 4 symbols high and comes with 4096 ways. You will find normal wild symbols on all reels, which are T-rex hatchlings. And you will also find scatter symbols on all reels, which is a very cool looking egg. You will also find a special stacked wild symbol, a giant T-rex that can appear partially or fully on all reels.
Raging Rex 2 Features
Respins
When a full wild T-rex appears on the reels you will trigger the re-spin feature. The T-rex will stay on the reels and moves one reel to the left after each spin. All normal wild symbols will also become sticky. Respins end when the T-rex reached the first reel.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award the free spins feature. Before free spins start you pick one of three different free spins features.
- Primal Fury – 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols will award 8, 12, 16 and 20 free spins respectively. During free spins a giant T-rex wild is active and will move one reel to the left or the right after each spin. The normal wild symbols aren’t sticky and will go away after each spin. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols during free spins will add 6, 9, 12, 15 or 18 extra free spins respectively.
- Hatchling Mania – 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols will award 7, 9, 11 and 13 free spins respectively. The giant T-rex wild does not appear during these spins. The normal wilds are sticky wilds during free spins and will move to a random spot after each spin. These wild symbols will also have a x2 or x3 multiplier, which multiply each other when more than one appears. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols during free spins will add 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 extra free spins respectively.
- Jurassic Mayhem – 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols will award 5, 7, 9 and 11 free spins respectively. All wild symbols, the normal ones and the T-rex, are sticky and will move to a random spot after each spin. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols during free spins will add 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 extra free spins respectively.
Verdict
Like I mentioned above, I really liked the first game. But I think I like this sequel even more. Especially since there are now three different free spins features. All pretty cool and very exciting.
This game also comes with a maximum payout of 30.000 times your bet, while the original came with a maximum win of 5.000 times your bet.
The game looks great, comes with a great soundtrack and very exciting bonuses. Overall another amazing Play’n Go release.
