Tic Tac Take Overview
Since the release of Starburst by NetEnt we’ve seen a lot of clones. All revolving around the same mechanism, stacked or expanding wilds in the middle reels giving respins while holding these wilds.
And now Pragmatic Play has also released one of these types of games called Tic Tac Take.
Tic Tac Take comes with 5 reels, which are each 3 symbols high and uses 10 lines. But the game pays from left to right and right to left.
The game uses a sort of Tic Tac Toe combined with gems, disco theme. To be honest, it’s a bit of a mess.
You’ll find different colored gems on all reels, which can also appear stacked. And there are X and O symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. These symbols are used to trigger the feature.
Tic Tac Take does come with a pretty big maximum payout of 22.000 times your bet. Which is different from the mostly 5.000 times used by Pragmatic Play.
Tic Tac Take Features
When a line of X or O symbols hits horizontally, vertically or diagonally, you will trigger the respin feature. Just like Tic Tac Toe, you want a like of three.
For each line of X or O symbols you will receive 1 respin. This means that if reels 2, 3 and 4 are full of lines, you would receive 8 respins.
During respins these X and/or O symbols are wild and will be held, while all other reels respin. Just like Starburst.
When new X and/or O symbols appear and they create another line, you get another respin.
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the feature instantly for 100 times your bet.
This will guarantee at least 1 line, for at least 1 respin.
Like I mentioned above, a lot of Starburst clones have been released over the years. It seems that a lot of players like these sort of games.
Tic Tac Take is a bit different due to the fact that each line you create will give a respin. Even horizontally and diagonally. That’s new and does make the game a bit more different.
It also comes with a pretty huge maximum win of 22.000 times your bet. Which is also a lot bigger that most of these games.
Buying the respins is something Starburst XXXtreme did. And seems to work for players with a higher bankroll that want more action.
The theme to me is something I would ignore immediately, it’s as standard and boring as can be. But I get the Tic Tac Toe style because of the respins.
