If you have been paying attention to recent slot releases, you might have notices that the “3 pot” slot games have become pretty popular. There seems to be a new one every week. It seems that just with Megaways and Hold & Collect slots, this is the next trend.
And NetEnt can’t fall behind, so they have released a new slot game which uses that main mechanism called Godbreaker.
A pretty cool sounding title with an impressive Aztec or Incan type theme. A more dark theme than we normally see with that subject. With hidden pyramids on the background, a eclipsed sun and more ominous looking gods. Apparently the game revolves around Queen Zyarah getting revenge on the Gods of Death, Greed, Pestilence and Lust.
You will find 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and the game uses 1024 ways instead of lines.
There are low paying small symbols, medium paying average sized symbols with a colored gemstone and the high paying symbols are masks in 4 different colors, representing the Gods. Then we also have the highest paying symbol, which is represented by Queen Zyarah. Wild symbols can only appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 and can come with a random multiplier of x2, x3 or x4. There are no scatter symbols on this slot.
Godbreaker comes with a maximum payout of 5.468 times bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Free Spins Features
All normal paying symbols can appear with a glowing red, green or blue gem. During base spins, each gem is collected into the corresponding pot on top of the reels.
At any point when one or more gems are collected the free spins feature may trigger with 1, 2 or 3 pots active. Awarding 8, 12 and 16 free spins respectively.
Each pot has its own feature. And one, two or all three become active when triggering 1, 2 or all 3 pots at the same time.
- Red – Has a higher chance of landing golden masks
- Green – Multiplier on wilds can now be between x4 and x10
- Blue – The reels expand to 6 symbols high
Glowing gems also appear during free spins and when collected and an additional pot is activated you will get 4 more free spins and the added pot bonus is added to the already active pot.
During free spins mask symbols can also appear glowing. Each glowing mask is collected into a separate meter on top. Each time this meter reaches a new mask symbol, 1 extra free spin is awarded and all instances of that mask will now become golden masks for all future spins.
All 4 masks (Gods) can be upgraded to golden masks. Once all are upgraded, no more glowing masks appear.
Bonus Buy
Free spins can be bought for 30x, 50x and 300x bet. This will award free spins with 1 to 3 pots, 2 to 3 pots or all 3 pots activated respectively.
Verdict
Although this is, again, one of those 3 pot slot games, this one feels different. And to be honest, amazing.
Let me say that I absolutely love the name and the theme. Godbreaker just sounds cool and the theme matches it perfectly.
Then we have 1024 ways and multiplier wilds during base spins, which can also award some pretty decent wins. And then there are those free spins. Of course you want 2 or 3 pots active, but even with only one active one. The upgrading of symbols is just a cool mechanism.
And I think players that really don’t like those 3 pot slots, might also want to skip this one. But trust me, give it a go. If not for the gameplay, at least check out the amazing theme.
I personally love this game and am normally not a big fan of these types of slots.
