Hacksaw Gaming has released a new online slot game called The Luxe. A game that uses a pretty basic theme with a lot of black and gold and standard luxurious symbols like diamonds and crowns.
The game uses 5 reels that are 4 symbols high and comes with 14 paylines.

Features
Golden Frames
During any spin, random frames can appear around spots on the reels. These frames will display a multiplier or one of the jackpots.
When a symbol within a Golden Frame is part of a winning combination, it becomes active. If a multiplier is in a frame, it will multiply the winnings of that payline. If more than one multiplier is active, the values are added together. Multipliers can be between x2 and x100.
A jackpot will instantly award the corresponding jackpot amount when it’s part of a winning combination. The Mini, Major, Mega and Max Win jackpot amounts are worth 25x, 100x, 500x and 20.000x your bet respectively. More than one Jackpot can be won at the same time.
Clover
A special Clover symbol can appear during any spin. If this appears, all multipliers and jackpot frames will be awarded, even if there is no winning combination with that frame.
Free Spins Features
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger a free spins feature. Depending on the number of scatters that triggered the feature, you will play a different free spins feature.
- Black and Gold – 3 scatter symbols – you will receive 10 free spins. 1 golden frame is added before free spins start and all golden frames appearing will become sticky and stay on the reels until the end of the free spins. A new multiplier or jackpot amount is added to the frame before each new free spin. 2 or 3 Free Spins symbols during this feature will add 2 and 4 extra free spins.
- Golden Hits – 4 scatter symbols – you will get 10 free spins. Works the same as Black and Gold, but now each time a frame is used, the multiplier is doubled before the next spin.
- Velvet Nights – 5 scatter symbols – you will get 10 free spins. Works the same as Golden Hits but now each spot on the reels will have a golden frame. You can’t win extra free spins during this bonus, there are no Free Spins symbols.
Bonus Buy
The Luxe offers several bonus buy options. For 5x the bet you can activate a 5 times higher chance of triggering the bonus. For 2.000x the bet you have a 1 in 10 chance to get the maximum win of 20.000 times bet. Black and Gold is available for 80x bet and Golden Hits is available for 250x bet. Velvet Nights cannot be bought.
Verdict
To be honest, The Luxe might not be the most outstanding slot Hacksaw ever released. In fact, for them it’s a pretty basic game I think. But I did really enjoy it.
I like the sleek, basic look. But I also think the features work well. It’s just an enjoyable game in my opinion.
And it comes with a pretty big maximum payout also. Which is also a plus.

Ultimate Slot of America is a bit of an acquired taste I think. The USA isn’t that loved at the moment, at least not in the rest of the world, so interesting they went for this theme. But maybe they also meant it as a joke or ironically, who knows?
