Yesterday we saw a new game by Thunderkick for the holidays. A reskin of an earlier title. Today it’s time for Pragmatic Play’s new Christmas slot game, Big Bass Christmas Bash. An exact copy of their 2022 release, Big Bass Splash.
I mean they love their Big Bass titles, so I’m not surprised they used it again for a Christmas themed game.
This time it’s set on a frozen lake and the fish and main character are wearing Christmas hats and the truck has been changed into a Santa sled.
Big Bass Christmas Bash uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 paylines.
You will find normal card symbols and symbols like different fishing gear and also fish symbols, which can appear stacked on all reels. Wild symbols only appear during free spins feature. There are also scatter symbols an all reels.
Big Bass Christmas Bash has a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet.

Second chance
When you land 2 scatters you might trigger a random bonus. Either a hook will come down and pull a third scatter onto the reels. Or the scatter symbols drop down one spot on the reels and the other reels respin to try and get another scatter.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
Before free spins start you will get a screen where fish swim around and a hook will try to catch these fish. Each fish collected will add an extra modifier to your free spins. If you catch the Christmas Present the free spins will start.
These extra modifiers are:
- More Fish – More fish symbols are added to the reels during free spins
- More Fisherman – More wild symbols are added to the reels during free spins
- More Dynamite, Hooks and Bazookas – The chance to hit any of these symbols is increased
- Start from Level 2 – The free spins feature will start on level 2
- 2 more spins – You will get 2 more free spins. Applies to every level
Wild symbols now appear during free spins. When a wild symbol appears together with fish symbols, this wild will collect all values on all fish. More than one wilde and/or fish can appear during each spin.
The wild symbols are also collected in a meter on top. Each time you collect 4 of them you will trigger another 10 free spins with a bigger multiplier. Current rounds are finished before new free spins start. You start with a x1 multiplier and new levels will award x2, x3 and finally x10 multipliers. After this no extra free spins can be won.
During free spins when there are fish but no wild, or one or more wilds, but no fish. A dynamite or bazooka might appear and add the thing you miss.
Scatter symbols don’t appear during free spins.

Verdict
Like I mentioned at the beginning, this is an exact copy of an earlier game. Even with the same maximum payout and modifiers during free spins. And yes it’s also another Big Bass game.
