Bones & Bounty Overview
Thunderkick released a new online slot game called Bones & Bounty, which fits perfectly with this Halloween season.
The game uses the theme of a ghost ship and ghost pirate. Much like you would see in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie, like for instance the Flying Dutchman. The reels are set against the ghost ship with the captain at the wheel.
The game uses 6 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 4096 ways instead of paylines.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find all sorts of navigational items and of course the captain as highest paying symbol. All symbols, including wild symbols, can appear stacked on all reels. Only bonus symbols don’t, but they do appear on all reels.
Bones & Bounty also comes with a great maximum payout of 25.000 times your bet. And is a high volatile slot game.
Bones & Bounty Features
Stacked Respins Wilds
Wild symbols can appear as a single wild or as a wild symbol that’s 2, 3 or 4 symbols high. They appear on all reels, except on reel 1.
Whenever one or more wild symbols appear that are 2, 3 or 4 symbols high, the Stacked Respins Wilds bonus is triggered.
The triggering wild symbols will become sticky and all other reels respin. If one or more stacked wilds appear, you will receive another respin.
This keeps happening until no more new stacked wilds appear. A maximum of 4 stacked wilds can appear on the reels, the feature also ends when you have the maximum of 4.
Cash Bonus Game
When you have collected 3 scatter symbols, you will trigger the Cash Bonus Game. Scatters can also be collected during Stacked Respins Wilds.
You are now taken to a new reel set of 6 reels and a special Ghost Reel. These reels can only land blank spots, Cash Coins with a multiplier of between x1 and x10, Persistent Payers with a value of x1, x2 or x3 and Multiplier Cash Symbols with a value of x1, x2 or x3.
You will get 3 respins. Each time a new symbol appears, the respins are reset back to 3 and all reels will shift one spot to the right.
Multiplier symbols reaching the Ghost Reel are now multiplier by the Ghost Reel Multiplier and then thrown back onto the reels.
If a Persistent Payer symbol reaches the Ghost Reel, all symbols on the reels are increased by its value. The Persistent Payers are also thrown back onto the reels and can reach the Ghost Reel again.
If a Monkey appears, which is the Multiplier Cash Symbol, it will increase the multiplier of the Ghost Reel and will then turn into a normal Cash Symbol.
When you run out of respins you are awarded with the total multipliers on all Cash Symbols times your bet.
Bonus Buy
Some casinos offer the option to buy the bonus for 100 times bet.
Verdict
If you didn’t know already, I love Thunderkick as a provider. I think there games always look amazing and come with fun and unique bonus features.
Bones & Bounty is no different. As always, the game has a great look. And although the features aren’t completely new, they combined it into one great game.
I especially love the Cash Bonus Game. It’s a standard collection bonus, but with a twist. The fact that the symbols shift to the right and are thrown back onto the reels. This can keep going for a long time, creating big wins.
Thunderkick already used this Shifting Reels mechanism on Shifting Seas, with a different type of bonus. But I think I like it better on this game.
Overall Bones & Bounty is a great game with huge win potential and definitely worth a try.
