Cheetah Wild – Overview
Pragmatic Play released a new online slot game called Cheetah Wild. The game takes players to the African Savannah, where cheetahs, wild animals, money symbols and prizes appear across the reels. The main focus of the game is on Money symbols, Collect symbols and the Free Spins feature, with a level-up system adding an extra layer to the gameplay.
You will find a colorful wildlife theme in Cheetah Wild. The cheetah is watching over the reels, with elephants, rhinos, zebras and gazelles appearing across the game. It’s a classic safari theme with a focus on collecting money rather than just landing regular symbol combinations.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 4 symbols high and uses 1,024 ways to win.
For symbols you will find low paying card symbols and higher paying animal themed symbols. There are also Wild symbols with multipliers, Money symbols, Collect symbols and Scatter symbols. Wild symbols can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4, while Money symbols can land on reels 2 to 5.
Cheetah Wild comes with a maximum payout of 5.000x the bet and has low volatility.
Features
Wild Symbols
Wild symbols can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. These symbols substitute for regular paying symbols and can also come with a multiplier.
The multipliers are either 2x or 3x. When multiple Wild symbols with multipliers appear in the same winning combination, their values are multiplied together, allowing the multiplier to reach up to 27x.
This can boost regular wins as well as collected Money symbol values when the Wilds are part of the winning combination.
Collect Symbol
The Collect symbol is another important part of Cheetah Wild.
When a Collect symbol lands on the first reel alongside Money symbols and/or Wild symbols on the reels after this, the Collect symbol then collects all values of Money symbols that are connected on consecutive reels. Any Wild multipliers boosting the payout.
This is the main mechanic during the base game, as you need the Collect symbol to turn the Money symbols into an actual win.
Free Spins
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 8, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
The main feature of the Free Spins feature is the Level Up system. Special Level Up symbols fill a meter, and collecting enough of them unlocks new levels.
There are five levels in total. As you progress through the levels, more of the higher paying animal symbols are transformed into Money symbols. This means that more cash values can appear on the reels as you advance through the feature.
At the highest level, all the selected high paying symbols are replaced by Money symbols for the remainder of the bonus round.
2, 3, 4 or 5 scatter during fee spins will add 5, 8, 15 and 20 extra free spins.
Bonus Buy
You are able to buy Free Spins for 100x the bet. And Super Free Spins for 500x the bet, which starts the bonus at level 3 instead of level 1.
Verdict
Cheetah Wild is a nice looking slot game with decent mechanisms.
It’s mainly a Money symbol collection game with multiplier Wilds and a Free Spins feature that gradually improves the reels.
Overall, I think it’s a fun game. I like games that use an upgrading mechanism. The level-up system adds something extra to the Free Spins feature. But it also still relies heavily on collecting Money symbols.
The safari theme is nicely done, and the multiplier Wilds can make the collecting mechanic a bit more interesting.
Overall it’s a fun game with a good look. And I think a lot of players will enjoy this one.
