Donny & Danny – Overview
Hacksaw Gaming has released a new online slot game called Donny & Danny. With the added title, Cash Kings Forever. Both these characters have been used on earlier Hacksaw Gaming releases, bur that was before I started reviewing Hacksaw.
The theme seems to revolve around two brother working on a traveling carnival. It has this 50’s cartoon style feel to it, which also makes it a little bit darker, instead of a happy carnival, a bit nefarious it seems. But it makes for a unique theme, which I do enjoy.
This slot game uses 5 reels that are each 5 symbols high and comes with 19 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying carnival symbols, you will also find scatter, or free spins symbols on all reels. And then lastly there are Donny and Danny symbols, which are special symbols used to trigger a feature, explained below.
Donny & Danny comes with a very nice maximum payout of 12.500 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
LootLines
When an active payline has at least 3 Donny symbols or a combination of at least 3 Donny and/or Danny symbols, it becomes a lootline.
Each Donny symbol will receive a random multiplier from the Cash Board on the left. Which are between x1 and x12.500. After this the values are awarded.
Danny symbols that are part of a lootline will expand to the top of the reels and will then all receive a multiplier of between x2 and x10. Which are applied to the cash symbols on that same lootline.
Free Spins Features
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger a free spins feature. Depending on the number of scatters that triggered the feature, you will play a different free spins feature.
- Rollin’ in Dough – 3 scatter symbols – 10 free spins with the same features as the base game, but a higher chance to land Donny symbols. 2 or 3 scatter symbols during these spins will add 2 and 4 extra free spins respectively.
- Make it Reign – 4 scatter symbols – 10 free spins with the same features as Rollin’ in Dough. With an added booster symbol, which each time it lands will remove the lowest value from the Cash Board. 2 or 3 scatter symbols during these spins will add 2 and 4 extra free spins respectively.
- Cash Kings Forever – 5 scatter symbols – 10 free spins with the same features as Make it Reign and a guaranteed full screen of Donny symbols on the last spin. 2 scatter symbols during these spins will add 2 extra free spins.
Bonus Buy
Donny & Danny offers several bonus buy options. For 3x the bet you can activate a 5 times higher chance of triggering the bonus. 50x the bet will guarantee you to land at least 3 Donny symbols. For 80x the bet you can buy Rollin’ in Dough and for 250x the bet you can buy Make it Reign. Cash Kings Forever isn’t available as a bonus buy.
Verdict
Donny & Danny comes with a unique theme and a pretty unique bonus feature.
Of course it’s somewhat of a collection bonus, but the way it works with the Cash Board and Danny symbols. And free spins with the lowest values removed. Makes it feel new and different. And also the fact that the maximum win can be reached during any spin or bonus is a nice addition.
Overall I think it’s a very good slot game that I definitely recommend giving it a try.
