This game, as the name suggests, uses an African theme. The reels are set against The Serengeti and as symbols you will find tribes people and wild animals, alongside standard card symbols.

Respin Feature
When 5 or more gem symbols land anywhere the respin feature is triggered.
During the respins only gem symbols can appear. You will receive 3 respins. Each time a new gem symbol appears the respins are reset. The feature ends when you run out of respins or when you have filled the entire screen with gems.
After this you are paid depending on how many gems you have collected. 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 gems will award 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 45x, 60x, 80x, 100x, 150x, 200x, 250x, 300x and 500x your bet respectively.
Free Spins Feature
When all three bonus symbol appear at the same time you will trigger 10 free spins.
During free spins each gem symbol appearing is collected into a meter on the right of the reels.
When free spins are over and you have collected between 5 and 19 gems you will then trigger a respin feature, just as above.
If you collected 20 or more gems during free spins you are awarded a cash prize. 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 gem symbols will pay 500x, 1,000x, 1,500x, 2,000x, 2,500x, 3,000x, 3,500x and 4,000x your bet respectively.
You can’t win extra free spins during the feature.
Verdict
Gems of Serengeti is a pretty fun game and comes with nice features. The respin feature of course, but also that free spins feature that combines the collecting of gems. It’s clever and fun.
It might not be the most innovating or exciting game Pragmatic Play has released, but it works. The maximum payout of 4.000 times bet is also just fine for this game.
Overall, it’s just a fine release that comes with nice features.
