Before free spins start 8 small slots will spin to reveal 1, 2 or 3 free spins. These are all added together to determine your total free spins. Which is a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 24 free spins.
During free spins, any wild symbol that appears will become sticky and stay on the reel until the end of the bonus. Infective Wilds are also still active, but the cats and ravens that become wild won’t become sticky.

Verdict
Of course there isn’t that much you can do with a Halloween theme. It’s spooky, scary or creepy. You can use a regular theme and make it scary, or just use a classic Halloween theme, like Pragmatic Play did with this game. Which works well. I think it looks nice.
The features are nothing new, we’ve seen wild changing other symbols in wild before. And the free spins feature reminds me a lot of The Dog House, a very popular game from the same provider. But that’s fine. A lot of times providers use earlier releases and give it a Halloween makeover. Pragmatic Play at least added some new features, like the Infective wilds.
Overall Infective Wild is a good game. I was happy to try it and am sure I play it again in the future. This is one of those games that’s also fun to play, any time of the year, but might be overlooked because of the theme.
