The game uses 6 reels which are 2, 3, 4, 4, 3 and 2 symbols high. Giving players 576 ways. Symbols can appear single and stacked on all reels, except wild and scatter symbols. These do appear on every reel however.

Lock and Load

This feature will trigger randomly. Reels 1 and 6, 2 and 5 or 3 and 4 are linked together during this feature. Meaning that those reels will stop on exact the same symbols.

Drive Me Wild

This feature will trigger randomly. A x2 wild symbols will be added to reel 2, 3, 4 or 5. All other wild symbols that might appear will also have a x2 multiplier.

Free Spins Feature

Three or more scatter symbols will award the free spins feature.

Before free spins start you have to pick between 5 different options.

• Johannesburg – 20 normal free spins and 1 encore free spin
• Sydney – 16 normal free spins and 2 encore free spins
• London – 12 normal free spins and 3 encore free spins
• Rio de Janeiro – 8 normal free spins and 4 encore free spins
• Tokyo – 4 normal free spins and 5 encore free spins

During all normal free spins the Lock and Load feature is active, linking two reels.

Scatter symbols only appear during the last normal free spin. When you get at least three of them during that last free spin you will trigger the Encore free spins.

During Encore Free Spins all reels are 4 symbols high, creating 4096 ways instead of the normal 576 ways. And the Lock and Load feature is also still active, but all wild symbols will now have a x2 multiplier.
You can’t trigger more free spins after Encore Free Spins.

Verdict

Kiss, Reels of Rock is on the top scale of volatility. Play’n Go uses a rating of 1 to 10 and Kiss has a 10 out of 10 rating for volatility. So be aware of that.

But this also means that this game can give out some huge wins, even during normal spins. I already seen a 300 times and even 400 times bet during my plays on a normal spin.

The free spins feature is pretty cool, but can also be frustrating. You have to pick your number of spins and you want those Encore spins for the really big wins, but that also means only a small amount of normal spins. And if you don’t trigger the Encore spins, you might have played only 4 normal spins if you picked the most volatile option.
Of course this is your own choice, so can play it safer. But maybe a set number of spins might be a little more friendly.

Overall the game delivers. Great graphics, great soundtrack, amazing gameplay and the option to get huge wins. And if you also like Kiss, that’s another plus. Because the theme really comes through.
