Push Gaming released a new online slot game called Masked Mayhem. A game which uses Lucha Libre fighters for their main theme. Which are Mexican wrestlers with masks on.
Which is a theme that has been done several times before on for instance games like Luchamigo by Play’n Go and Lucha Maniacs by Yggdrasil Gaming.
The reels are set within a street and the game is very colorful and funny.
The slot game uses 5 reels that are each 5 symbols high and comes with 50 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find high paying Luchadors, which can appear stacked on all reels. There are also pinatas which can appear on all reels and are the money symbols on this game. Then there are wilds and bonus symbols, also available on all reels.
Masked Mayhem comes with a pretty nice maximum payout of 10.231 times your bet and is a medium to high volatile slot.
Features
Win Zone
During any normal spin a frame of between 2×2 and 5×5 symbols can appear on the reels. Any pinatas that land within that zone are instantly collected. Pinatas come with value of between 0,2 and 1.000 times bet.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 6, 8 and 10 free spins respectively.
During free spins only pinata, scatters, jackpot symbols and blank spots appear.
The Win Zone frame is active during all free spins and starts as 2×2 big. Only symbols landing within the Win Zone is collected and paid. Scatters that appear within the Win Zone are also collected. Each time you collect 4, the Win Zone will increase in size and you are also awarded a multiplier and extra free spins.

- Level 2 – 3×3 Win Zone, all winnings x2 and 4 extra free spins

When scatter symbols land outside the win zone, the win zone will walk to the scatter to collect it and that is the new place it now stays, until new scatters are complected. During the walking of the win zone, all pinatas and jackpot symbols it passes over are also collected.
When you collected enough jackpot symbols for a specific jackpot, that amount is instantly awarded. Jackpot amounts are not multiplied.
Bonus Buy
For 60 times bet you are able to buy the free spins feature. This will award 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols.
Verdict
Masked Mayhem is a solid game with some fun and exciting features.
Especially free spins are exciting, since you want that win frame to grow bigger and bigger, collecting more awards and getting that bigger multipliers.
Of course it reminds a lot of Fat Rabbit, a game Push Gaming released years ago and where the wild would grow in the same way.
