Quickspin has released a new slot game, which is always exciting news. The game is called Mine & Melt. You might think this is some kind of dynamic duo, but no it’s a pretty literal title about mining and melting gold together.
The reels are set against a mountain, which seems to be set in Sweden, because the wild symbols are called the three lucky Swedes.
Mine & Melt uses 4 reels that are each 4 symbols high and uses 256 ways.
You will find standard card symbols and different mining tools and gold bars as symbols. You will also find golden nuggets, which are bonus symbols and appear on all 4 reels.
Wild symbols only appear due to a special feature and are always stacked.
Mine & Melt comes with a maximum payout of 5.504 times your bet.

Three Lucky Swedes
This game doesn’t offer a standard wild symbol. But during any base spin you are able to land a special wild on reels 2, 3 and/or 4.
These wild symbols will cover the entire reel and will have a multiplier of x2, x3 or x4.
Bonus Game
Getting 3 bonus symbols will award the Bonus Game.
During the bonus game you start with 3 lives and only Collector Symbols, which have multipliers on them and Smeltdown Symbols, which will multiply all Collector Symbols, can appear.
When one or more of the special symbols land, your lives are reset to 3. And if you run out of lives, the feature ends.
When 2 Collector Symbols with the same value appear next to each other, horizontally or vertically, they are merged together and will leave behind an empty spot for new symbols to land.
When a Smeltdown Symbol lands it will multiply all values from the Collector Symbols by x2.
New Collector Symbols appearing will always have at least the value of the lowest Collector Symbols already on-screen.
Super Bonus Game
Getting 4 bonus symbols will award the Super Bonus Game.
This feature is the same as above. But you will now have 4 lives and the Smeltdown Symbols will now have a x4 multiplier.
Buy Bonus
You can buy the Bonus Game for 60 times bet and the Super Bonus Game for 330 times bet.
Verdict
A while back Quickspin released a game called Cash Truck, which also uses this Hold & Respin type bonus. Which has become popular due to games like Money Train 2.
And I think Quickspin gave that mechanism a fun new twist with the merging of the symbols. This makes the feature a lot of fun and also keeps you from filling the screen. Which you don’t want on this game.
Of course, as with all Quickspin slots, Mine & Melt looks good.
