Endorphina has released a new online slot game called Janissaries.

I has to Google what the game was actually themed after. But it seems that Janissaries where an elite corp in the Ottoman Empire back in the 14th century. Which seems to fit with the theme and the guy on top of the reels.

The game uses 6 reels that are each 5 symbols high and uses a scatter pays mechanism. Meaning that 8 or more of the same symbols anywhere on screen, count as a winning combination. And the game also comes with cascading symbols, so winning symbols are removed and new symbols will then fall on top, creating the option for another win.

Besides normal paying symbols you will also find scatter symbols on all reels. The game doesn’t use any wild symbols. But there are special multiplier symbols and during free spins even a special amulet symbol.

Verdict

If you have played online slot games for a while, you might instantly recognize this game. It’s almost an exact copy of Pragmatic Play’s popular game Gates of Olympus.

Which I don’t mind and happens a lot with popular titles. Endorphina did however add the special amulet symbol and also the option to buy free spins. Which adds small additions to it being an exact copy.

Overall I also like the theme. It’s something I needed to Google, which in my opinion is cool, new and unique.
