Rascal Riches is the latest slot release by Play’n Go. And for this new title they used a fun feline theme with three cheeky cats. Well to be honest, they seem to be burglar cats, but they are still cute.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 243 ways instead of lines. Any combination of three or more of the same symbols, starting from the first reel, count as a winning combination, no matter where on the reels.
Besides the low paying tool symbols, you will also find high paying characters. Seemingly the ones that those cats are going to steal from. There are also golden bins on reels 1, 3 and 5, which are the bonus symbols. Regular wild symbols don’t appear on this game, but there are a special wild feature.

Rascal wild
During any normal spin, at random, the Rascal Wild might appear. This is a full wild reel that consists of three rascals hiding in a long coat. This wild symbol counts as three separate wild symbols.
When the Rascal Wild appears, each individual rascal might also award a random modifier.
- Multiplier – reveals a x2, x3 or x5 multiplier. This applies to all winning combinations and when more than one appears, they are added together.
- Mystery symbols – 2 or 3 mystery symbols are added to the reels, which will all reveal one and the same symbol.
- Row Splitter – All symbols that are left and right of the rascal will be split into two. It won’t split itself or any bonus symbols. When all three rascals become splitters, you can get up to 3.888 ways.
Free Spins Feature
Landing all three golden trash bins on reels 1, 3 and 5 at the same time will trigger 5 free spins.
The Rascal Wild is active during each free spin.
Before the 5th spin a random multiplier is chosen of x20, x30, x50 or x100. This multiplier is applied to all possible winnings from the last spin.
You can’t win extra free spins.
Verdict
When I started playing Rascal Riches, I thought, this is a fun game. The special Rascal Wild seems to appear quite often. But after a while, I have to say, it’s started to get a bit boring. The Rascal Wild appears a lot, but most of the time doesn’t really award something big.
Then we have the free spins feature. And here you will get the Rascal Wild each spin. But because it already appears so often, this doesn’t really excite. The only thing that is nice is that, possible 100 times, multiplier. But then of course you do need a win.
So I’m not really sure about this release. It’s fun to play for a short while, or maybe until free spins trigger. But this isn’t a game that keeps me coming back again and again.
But the theme is nice and fun and it all looks great.
