Pragmatic Play has released a new online slot game called Knights vs Barbarians.
And as the theme suggests, it’s a game that revolves around knights fighting barbarians. A medieval looking game with a lot of weapons from that era and angry looking men ready to fight.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and a total of 10 paylines.
You will find low paying card symbols and different medium to high paying weapons and characters. Scatter symbols can also appear on all reels. Wilds only appear because of a special feature, explained below.

Center Symbol Feature
Medium and high paying symbols appear blue and red. Where blue stands for the knights and red for the barbarians.
The middle symbol of the reels will spin separate from the rest of the symbols and can land either a normal paying symbol or a special “scatter” symbol.
These special symbols come with the following features:
- Knight Scatter (Blue) – The scatter and all blue knight symbols will transform into a wild symbol
- Barbarian Scatter (Red) – The scatter and all red barbarian symbols will transform into a wild symbol
- Battle Scatter – A battle between a knight and barbarian is played out. Who wins will become a wild symbol with a multiplier of between x2 and x100 and the rest of the symbols will also change into wilds, as with the Knight and Barbarian scatter
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins only Knight scatters, Barbarian scatters, Battle scatters or an extra free spins scatter will appear in the middle spot on the reels. So you will always trigger a feature, or receive extra free spins.
Bonus Buy
For 100 times bet you are able to buy free spins. For 500 times bet you can buy super free spins, which will land a Battle Scatter or Extra free spins only on the highlighted symbol.

The theme works very well with the features and that center symbol feature is a nice addition that keeps the base game going.
