Ticket to Wild Overview
NetEnt has released a new slot game that’s called Ticket to Wild. Not to be confused with a very popular board game called Ticket to Ride.
The game features two fun cows traveling through some famous countries around the world. It all comes with a nice pastel look and the reels seem to be set inside a suitcase.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 20 paylines. But because of an upgrade this can be increased to 4 symbols per reel and 25 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols, you will also find high paying country stickers. Then we have Free Spins symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. And a credit card symbol that can appear on all reels.
Ticket to Wild comes with a maximum 3.110 times bet and is a medium to high volatile slot game.

Ticket Wild
During the base game credit card symbols can land on each reel. When a credit card lands, it will add 1 pin above the reel.
Each reel has 3 pins. When you fill all pins on a reel, that reel becomes wild for the next 3 spins. More than 1 reel can become wild at the same time.
Upgrades
Next to the reel you will find a pen that acts as a progress bar. During normal spins symbols can have an ink blob, which are collected into the meter.
Collect enough of them to upgrade certain features on the game, which are active during both the base game and free spins,:
- Collect 50 ink blobs to increase the numbers of spins a wild reel stays on the screen from 3 to 4
- Collect 100 ink blobs to open the bottom row of symbols, now having 4 symbols per reel and 25 instead of 20 paylines
- Collect 150 ink blobs to reduce the number of pins needed per reel to 2 instead of 3
- Collect 200 ink blobs to give all Ticket Wilds a x2 multiplier
Free Spins Feature
Get all three Free Spins symbols on reel 1, 3 and 5 to trigger 10 free spins.
During free spins 2 reels are always wild and will move to a random spot between each free spin.
If you managed to get all 4 upgrades, you will get 3 wild reels during each free spin.
Verdict
Ticket to Wild is just a fun new game from NetEnt.
I like the bit of a quirky theme with those cows and traveling. And the very pastel looking colors.
And even though the features are nothing new, they work well and make for an enjoying game.
The only thing I personally am not a fan of are the upgrades. I know more games have it, especially Red Tiger Gaming games seem to love them. But for me, I want the full package right away, not playing to finally get the full package and possibilities. But that’s me. And it seems that the progress bar does upgrade pretty fast.
This isn’t a game for die hard slot players that love their extreme slots. But this is a perfect slot for more average or even new players. I think it’s overall a fun, nice game.
