Peppe’s Pepperoni Pizza Plaza – Overview
At the end of 2022, Pragmatic Play released a new online slot game called Pizza! Pizza? Pizza!. Which was a game with a bit of a strange setup, but also a pretty standard “Big Bass” type slot game.
Now they have released Peppe’s Pepperoni Pizza Plaza, a sequel to the first one that looks very similar and is, again, a “Big Bass” game, but with some added features.
The game uses 5 reels that are on top of each other and these reels will have 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 symbols each. A winning combination will pay from the bottom to the top row, no matter where on the reel. So in a fact this is a 720 ways slot game, but the reels are tilted. Once you see it like that it’s easy to see.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find different ingredients you would find on a pizza. Including special pepper symbols, that come with money values. These money values only come into play during free spins.
There are also scatter symbols on all reels. Wild symbols only appear during free spins. And there are normal and golden wilds.

Free Spins Feature
3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively. Before free spins start you earn between 0 and 5 added modifiers. Pickles will fall into the oven and will reward a modifier or a boot. When you find the boot, or have found all modifiers, the free spins will start. Modifiers are:
- More Money Symbols – more chili peppers, money symbols are present on the reels
- More Wilds – more wild symbols are present on the reels
- More Golden Wilds – more golden wild symbols are present on the reels
- Start on Level 2 – you begin free spins on the second level
- 2 Extra Spins – You start with 2 more free spins than normal
During free spins each wild symbol that appears will collect all money values from chili symbols. Wild symbols are also collected into a meter. Each time you collect 4 of them, you will trigger 10 more free spins with a higher multiplier. The multiplier will be x2 for the first re-trigger, x3 for the second and x10 for the last. After this you can’t win any more free spins.
A golden wild symbol will open up all covered symbols on the pizza and collect all values that are then on screen. After this the wild is also collected and reels go back to normal.

Verdict
Like the original, Peppe’s Pepperoni Pizza Plaza comes with a weird setup, which I by the way, do enjoy. It makes the game feel different. Even though it’s a very standard Big Bass slot. In fact it’s the same game as Big Bass Amazon Xtreme.
The only difference is that this game uses ways instead of paylines. And it comes with those golden wilds, which are very cool. Opening up that entire screen and then collecting all money values, can be huge. The golden wilds are very rare, but I was instantly excited when one hit.
I think Peppe’s Pepperoni Pizza Plaza is very cool new addition to the Big Bass genre of games from Pragmatic Play. And I really thought I was completely over these games.
