Pragmatic Play together with Reel Kingdom have released a new online slot game called Steamin’ Reels. A game that uses a bit of an old fashioned train theme. And somehow also looks a bit like a game that might have been released 15 years ago.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 paylines.
You will find normal low paying card symbols and different medium to high paying train themed symbols. There are also wild and scatter symbols on all reels.

Free Spins Feature
3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively. At random, when you don;t hit any scatters, 3, 4 or 5 scatters might appear. Or when you get exactly 2 scatters, a third might appear.
During free spins, 3 train wagons appear below the reels which hold cash prizes between 5 and 500 times bet or a golden ticket.
Also a special crossing symbol can appear during free spins. When this appears, it will collect all three train wagons.
Each time you collect 3 golden tickets, you are awarded with 10 extra free spins and a general multiplier will go up from x1 to x2, x5 and finally x10. After this, no more extra spins can be won.
During free spins you can also land a Station Master symbol, or the crossing symbol might randomly change into a Station Master. This symbol will award a random multiplier of x2, x3 or x5. And this is applied to all values of the train wagons and are then collected. And the next 3 wagons, will also receive this multiplier.

Verdict
Let me be clear. Steamin’ Reels is just a Big Bass slot game wrapped in a train theme.
They just moved the cash rewards to the bottom on those wagons and added an extra multiplier when the Station Master lands. And that’s it.
The theme seems very dated, like I mentioned above, like you are playing a game from 10, 15 years ago. But maybe that’s on purpose?
Overall Steamin’ Reels really isn’t anything special and is just another one of those “Big Bass” type slot games.
