In 2017 Big Time Gaming released a new slot game that made a huge impact, called Danger! High Voltage. The game became an instant classic because of the features and cool soundtrack.
Now, 7 years later, the game has gotten a sequel with the same title.
It still used all the same symbols that we know, but they have gotten even more glitzy. And instead of a standard number of ways, it has now gotten the Megaways mechanism. Among other new features and bonuses.
The game uses 6 reels that are between 2 and 7 symbols high during each spin. This setup can give up to a maximum of 117.649 Megaways per spin.
Besides low paying card symbols and high paying disco and Mexican themed symbols, there are also scatter symbols on all reels. Wild symbols also appear, but only because of a feature, with is explained below.

Winning combinations are removed from the reels and all symbols fall down. New symbols fall on top and can award another winning combination. The process keeps repeating until no new winning combinations appear.
Megadozer
Above the reels is a coin dozer, like the ones you see in arcade halls. During any spin this dozer can become active and drop down one or more coins, which in turn can drop one or more coins onto the reels below. Which are reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 during the base game. Coins can award:
- The multiplier, which starts on x1, goes up by x1 and resets when no more winning reactions appear
- A scatter symbol is added to the reels
- A wild symbol with a random multiplier of x1, x2, x3 or x5 is added to the reels. Any winning combination using one or more wilds is multiplier by the multipliers

Each coin that is pushed onto the reels will add a wild symbol with the active multiplier. Each coin that falls down the reels, will increase that active multiplier by x1, which will not reset between free spins.
Coins can only land as wild symbols on reels 3 and 4.
3 or more scatter symbols will add 2 more free spins and 2 extra for each scatter above the initial three.

Verdict
Of course the original Danger! High Voltage slot game made a huge impact. Big Time Gaming was still rather new and was releasing very unique games for the time. Especially their Megaways slots. Which have taken off since then.
This sequel doesn’t make that kind of impact anymore. To be honest, I am not sure any new game will really make an impact these days.
But that does not mean that this sequel isn’t an amazing game. Because it is. It manages to keep some key parts from the original, like the theme, the soundtrack and also the fact that it comes with two different free spins bonuses to chose from. But also makes it different enough with the coindozer on top and now Megaways.
And this version comes with a much, much higher maximum payout, more than three times that of the original, which already came with a very decent maximum win.
Overall I think they did an amazing job with this sequel and I am sure both existing players and players that never even played the original, will enjoy this one.
