Triple Tigers – Overview
Realtime Gaming (RTG) has released a new online slot game called Triple Tigers.
This game uses a more Asian theme, that feels a bit like Kung Fu Panda. Where a tiger seems to be training to become the next fighter. It’s a nice theme with big animal symbols.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and comes with 243 ways. So symbols pay left to right, starting on the first reel no matter where they land.
Besides low paying suits symbols, disguised as lanterns, you will also find medium other Asian inspired symbols and high paying animals. There are also wild symbols and scatter symbols on all reels. And during base spins a special wild might appear, more on that below.
Triple Tigers doesn’t come with a very big maximum payout, only 2.000 times your bet. But is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Bursting Wild
Besides normal wild symbols, there can also land a special bursting wild symbol. The different between how the symbols look isn’t that distinguished, but you will notice it when it’s a Bursting wild. Because when this wild lands, it will turn one or more other, normal symbols, into wild symbols.
This feature can only appear during base spins.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 15, 30 and 60 free spins respectively.
During free spins symbols now cascade. So winning symbols are removed from the reels, the remaining symbols fall down and new symbols are added on top. Creating the option for another win within the same spin.
Each time a cascade happens, a multiplier will go up to x2, x3, x4 and x5 maximum. Once a new free spin starts the multiplier resets back to x1.
3 or more scatters during free spins will add the same number of free spins.
Verdict
To be honest, Triple Tiger isn’t the most innovating slot game. In fact it’s a pretty basic game. But I don’t mind that once in a while.
Not every slot needs to be extremely volatile with dozens of features.
The base game is a bit boring and that special Bursting Wild seems to appear very rarely. And when it does appear, it’s never really that special.
But free spins are fine. It’s nice that you get a good number of free spins, especially with 4 or 5 scatters. And the game seems re-trigger more frequently than you would expect.
Again, Triple Tiger is nothing special. It’s a just a fun little game with a cute theme. But sometimes that’s just what you are in the mood for.
