Twin Spin Megaways is the latest NetEnt title. Of course the original Twin Spin already received an upgrade a while back with Twin Spin Deluxe. Twin Spin Megaways comes with 6 reels that can be 2 to 7 symbols high. Creating the option for a maximum of 117.649 ways. Like most Megaways slot games the number of symbols per spin are random.
All the classic Twin Spin symbols are here, bar, seven and classic card symbols. But also wild symbols, which only appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. And now also scatter symbols. But this version also offers the avalanche feature we know from Gonzo’s Quest. Winning symbols are removed and new symbols fall on top to create a possible new win within the same bought spin.
During each spin 2 or more reels will spin linked (simultaneous), giving both the same number of symbols and symbols, also like the original.
Free Spins Feature
Getting 5 or more scatter symbols will award 15 free spins. For each extra scatter symbol more than 5 you will be awarded 1 more free spin.
During free spins the linked reels are always 7 symbols high.
During free spins wild symbols can also have a x2 or x3 on them, these now count as 2 or 3 symbols on that reels.
For 5 or more scatter symbols during free spins you will receive 15 more free spins.
Verdict
NetEnt might have missed with Twin Spin Deluxe, but with Twin Spin Megaways I think they did it right. Of course the original was unique and a huge hit and this one is something we already know. But I think a lot of players will love this version, especially players that love highly volatile slot games.
The game looks amazing and can give some amazing wins, especially with those linked reels during free spins with some multiplying wilds.
Getting 5 scatters to trigger the free spins seems a bit much, I always prefer 3, or in most Megaways slot games 4. I know that this doesn’t matter, but it feels that way.
