Waves of Poseidon – Overview
The latest slot game by Pragmatic Play is called Waves of Poseidon.
Which of course comes with an underwater theme and has Poseidon and his trident standing next to the reels. It’s one of those themes you know already, but that always works well on a slot game.
The game uses 6 reels that are each 5 symbols high and comes with a scatter pays mechanism. Eight or more of the same symbols, anywhere on the reels, count as a winning combination. And you will also find cascading symbols or tumbles. Winning symbols are removed and new symbols are dropped in from above, to create the option for several wins within the same spin.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying underwater themed symbols, you will also find wild symbols. Then there are scatter symbols, which can appear on all reels and special bonus symbols, needed for the multiplier bubble, explained below.
Waves of Poseidon comes with a maximum payout of 5.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Multipliers Bubble
On the left of the reels you will find a meter with multipliers that is locked. Special bonus symbols can land on every spin and when they appear they will open up the meter.
A bonus symbol can also carry a multiplier of between x2 and x50. The starting multipliers are multiplied by the new multiplier on the bonus symbol.
During each winning tumble a bubble will go up one spot, reaching higher multipliers.
When all winning tumbles are done, the total win is multiplied with the multiplier where the bubble us. After this everything is reset and the bubble starts at the bottom again.
Free Spin Feature
4, 5 and 6 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins the multiplier meter is always unlocked and bonus symbols that appear will always come with a multiplier of between x2 and x50.
Each scatter appearing during free spins will add 1 more free spin.
If the feature is triggered by 6 scatter symbols, you are awarded the Super Free Spins. During Super Free Spins the multipliers won’t reset back between free spins and can only grow bigger.
Bonus Buy
For 100 times your bet you are able to but the free spins feature. For 500 times your bet you are able to buy Super Free Spins.
Verdict
Waves of Poseidon is a fun game. It’s not something unique, or something we haven’t seen before. In fact, it’s a lot like other Pragmatic Play slot games with those multipliers and scatter or cluster pays. But it works. And these games are very popular.
