Argonauts – Overview
The Argonauts where hero’s from Greek mythology that accompanied Jason to find the golden Fleece. And Pragmatic Play has just released a new online slot game using these characters as the main theme.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and uses 1024 ways instead of paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying characters and items, you will also find Money Symbols on all reels and special Collection Wild symbols. There are no scatter symbols.
Argonauts comes with a maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Wild Collector
Money symbols come with a value of between 0,5 and 50 times bet.
When a Wild Collector symbol hits, all Money Symbols that are adjacently connected, either horizontal, vertical and/or diagonal, will be collected by this Wild Collector.
Wild Collector symbols can come with a random multiplier of between x2 and x2.000. And the multiplier will also increase by x1 for each Money Symbol collected. The multiplier is applied to all Money Symbol values.
Re-spin Feature
6 or more Money Symbols will trigger the Re-spin feature.
The triggering Money Symbols will stay on the reels and only new Money Symbols, Wild Collector and blank spots can appear.
You will receive 3 re-spins which are reset back to 3 each time you get a Money Symbol or Wild Collector. All new Money Symbols will also become sticky.
The feature ends when you run out of re-spins, or fill the entire screen with Money Symbols. A full screen will double all values of all Money Values.
Any wins collected by Wild Collectors is also added to the total. The Wild Collector multiplier will also not reset during free spins and will only go up by every Money Symbol collected.
Bonus Buy
For 60 times your bet you are able to buy the Re-spin Feature.
Verdict
Argonauts isn’t really a very interesting slot game. It’s a pretty standard Hold & Re-spin game with the added feature of those wild collectors. Which are nice, if they have a big multiplier. But that’s all there is.
I am sure there are players that enjoy this game. And I am not saying it’s a bad game. It’s just one of those games we’ve seen a lot already.
