Pragmatic Play has released a new online slot game called Duel of Night & Day.
This Egyptian themed slot plays with two characters depicting night and day. The left side is day and the right side is night. Which is also made obvious with the background. Where the reels are set against a pyramid and also come in a pyramid form.
The game uses 6 reels which are 2, 3, 4, 4, 3 and 2 symbols high, giving it 576 ways instead of paylines. Buy the game pays both ways, so in fact it’s 1152 ways.
It also features tumbling reels. So winning combinations are removed and new symbols fall on top, creating the possibility for several winning combinations within the same spin.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying Egyptian themed animals, you will also find wild symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. And scatter symbols on all reels. Special Sun and Moon symbols can also appear on all reels, more on those below.

Features
Sun and Moon Multipliers
Sun and Moon symbols can appear on all reels and are multiplier symbols.
When a Sun and/or Moon symbol hits it can add a x1 multiplier to it’s respective side of the reels. The left being day, so sun and the right being night, so moon.
All winning combinations starting from either the Day or the Night side will then be multiplied by its own multipliers.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 10 free spins.
Depending on how many scatters triggered the bonus, the multipliers of the Sun and Moon will increase in bigger steps. 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatters will award the multipliers with x2, x4, x6 or x8 each time they appear.
If you trigger the bonus with 3, 4 or 5 scatters, you can gamble to get a higher multiplier, or lose all free spins.
Also each Sun and/or Moon symbol will now always be added to the multiplier meters and also doesn’t reset between spins. So these can only go up.
3 or more scatters during free spins will add 10 more free spins.
Bonus Buy
For 120 times your bet you are able to buy the free spins feature. This will award 3 or more scatter symbols at random.
Verdict
Duel of Night & Day is a pretty nice looking game and comes with some interesting features, like the paying both ways. And during free spins, especially when you have a big multiplier, the game can pay some great amounts.
But be careful with the gambling of the multiplier, because if you lose the gamble, you don’t get any free spins.
Overall it’s a nice game. I’m not sure if it’s one that will make a huge impact, but I did enjoy it.
