Push Gaming has released a new online slot game with a fun Asian type animal theme called Fire Pig Push Ways.
The game looks very colorful and comes with all the standard tropes you would expect from an Asian themed game. Lanterns, animals and fireworks.
You will find 6 reels which are each 4 symbols high and the game uses 4096 ways instead of paylines. So symbols pay left to right, starting on reel 1, no matter where on the reels.
Besides low paying suits symbols you will also find high paying animal symbols. Then there are money symbols on all reels and a special Fire Pig symbol on reels 1 and 6. Lastly there are also wilds and scatter symbols on all reels.
Fire Pig Push Ways comes with a maximum payout of 4.941 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Hot Zones
Hot Zones can appear on all reels and are frames that are 4 symbols high. They can land anywhere that doesn’t already have a Hot Zone. A Hot Zone will also nudge down one symbol before each new spin. Any symbol that appears within a hot zone is split into two, creating more ways.
Fire Pig
Fire Pig symbols can only land on reel 1 and 6 and act as a collector symbol. When one or both of these pigs land, they will collect all money symbols on the reels. A Fire Pig can also come with a multiplier of x2, x3, x5 or x10, which applies to all values, including jackpots.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger the free spins feature.
The more scatter symbols triggering the bonus, the more starting free spins and the higher the starting multiplier.
Free spins start with two Hot Zones on reels 2 and 5.
Any Fire Pig appearing will be collected into a meter on the right. Each time you reach a new level, you will be awarded with 4 extra free spins and the multiplier is increased from x1 to x2, x3, x5 and finally x10. After that no extra free spins or higher multipliers can be won.
Bonus Buy
For 120 times bet you are able to the free spins feature. This will award a minimum of 3 scatter symbols.
Verdict
It seems that Fire Pig Push Ways is almost an exact copy of an earlier Push Gaming slot called Big Bite Push Ways, which I didn’t review and never even played. So for me, this was a new title, but some of you will recognize the gameplay.
Overall I enjoyed this game. The theme is, so so. It’s one of those Asian themed that we have seen a lot already. But it looks nice, colorful and works.
The features and bonuses are a lot of fun for me. I always like free spins with progression and although the collection of money symbols is something we see a lot these days, they mixed it up in a fun feature with those splitting symbols and increasing multipliers.
It also comes with a decent maximum payout for a medium volatile slot game.
