Pragmatic Play, together with Reel Kingdom, has just released a new online slot game called Fish Eye. And yes that does sounds like a strange name for a slot. And to be honest, it’s also a bit of a weird theme.
The game mixes a fishing theme with an Egyptian theme. Don’t know why, but that’s what it is.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 lines.
You will find standard card symbols, golden Egyptian symbols and also fish symbols with cash values on them. The game doesn’t use any wild symbols. Scatter symbols, which are the eye of Ra, appear on all reels.
Fish Eye comes with a nice maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet.
Fish Eye Features
Money Symbol
Fish symbols come with a cash value of between 0,1 and 100 times bet during the base game. On top of the reels you will find a meter of 15 fish.
If you get 4 or more fish symbols during a base spin. All values of the fish are collected and multiplied by the number of the meter. The more fish, the higher the multiplier.
The multipliers are between x1 for 4 fish up to x2000 for 15 fish.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins the top meter now shows fish with values of between x1 and x1000 times bet.
Two new symbols can appear during free spins. A collector and a remover symbol.
A collector symbol will collect all cash values of fish on screen. And will also be collected in a seperate meter. Collect 4 collector symbols during spins to get 10 more free spins.
A remover symbol will remove the lowest cash value of fish on the meter. Those fish now no longer appear during free spins. And 1 or 2 remover symbols during free spins will add 1 and 3 extra free spins respectively.
Normal scatter symbols don’t appear during free spins.
Ante Bet
You have the option to activate an extra bet for 50% your normal bet. This will increase the number of scatter symbols appearing.
Bonus Buy
For 100 times bet, some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature. This will award between 3 and 5 scatter symbols.
Verdict
Let me start by saying that the theme is very weird. But somehow works.
Of course this game reminds a lot of all those Big Bass games from Pragmatic Play. Games like Big Bass Bonanza and Big Bass Splash. Those games also use this free spins feature where you collect fish with cash values. And where you can get more free spins when you collected enough.
But this Fish Eye game does add something new, that remover symbol. Removing lowest paying fish each time it appears. Which is pretty cool. Get enough of them and the fish are all highly rewarding.
I think this new slot game is a great addition to the genre. Different enough to enjoy together with all other versions.
