Hot Tuna – Overview
Pragmatic Play has added a new online slot game called Hot Tuna.
This game is pretty much a “Big Bass” game, but with a slightly different theme and an added bonus feature. But to be honest, it could have just been a Big Bass title.
We know find an Asian themed fishing slot with an Asian fisherman next to the reels and instead of normal fish, we are going for tuna and the, extremely rare, hot tuna.
The game uses 5 reels which are each 3 symbols high and a total of 10 paylines.
You will find normal low paying card symbols and different fishing themed high paying symbols. There are also, tuna, which can appear stacked on all reels and come with cash values. Wild symbols only appear during the free spins feature. Scatter symbols can appear on all reels.
Hot Tuna has a maximum payout of 2.500 times your bet and is a high volatile game. Which to be honest, is on the low side.

Free Spins Feature
3, 4 and 5 scatter symbols will award 10, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins wild symbols can now appear. And each time a wild and tuna land together, the values of the tuna are collected and paid.
When there are tuna but no wilds, the tuna are added to cans on the left of the reel. A can needs 6 tuna to be filled and there are 7 cans. If you manage to fill all cans, you will receive 10 extra free spins.
There also seems to be a Hot Tuna symbol. When this symbol lands, it comes with a multiplier of x10 and is applied to all collections values.
When a wild symbol appears during free spins, but no tuna, random tuna might be added. If tuna appear, but no wild, wild symbols might randomly appear.

Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature for 100 times your bet, which will award 3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols.
Verdict
I don’t recommend this game at all.
The game is called Hot Tuna and apparently there are Hot Tuna symbols. Well, I have played probably 200 normal spins and about 30 free spins features. I haven’t seen a single Hot Tuna symbol. Also I haven’t had a single retrigger. Because you need 7 times 6 tuna’s collected, that aren’t collected by a wild. Which, to be honest, seems almost impossible.
All that for the possibility of a maximum payout of 2.500 times bet, while other titles pay 5.000 times and more? No thank you!
This game makes no sense to me and I would not play it again.
The only small plus I have is the theme, it looks nice, but that’s it.
