NetEnt released a new online slot game called Mine Blown.
A game that takes you into a mine digging for gold and valuables, as we’ve seen in many slots before.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 10 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and high paying mining symbols, you will also find wild symbols on all reels, represented by gold nuggets. Then there are bonus symbols on reels 1 and 2, which are levers and a Bonus or Free Spins bonus symbol that can land on reel 5.
Mine Blown comes with a maximum payout that is on the lower side of what we are used of these days, of 2.484 times bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Dynamite and TNT
During any spin a random number of dynamite symbols can be thrown at the reels. Any that hit a spot, will turn that spot into a wild symbol.
It also possible that a TNT symbols land, but only one can appear during any spin. The TNT symbol will explode and turn wild, after which a random number of symbols surrounding the TNT will also become wild.
Free Spins Feature
When both bonus symbols land on reels 1 and 3 and the Free Spins symbol lands on reel 5, free spins are triggered.
You are awarded with 10 free spins and all wild symbols that appear will become sticky wilds and will stay on the reels until the end of the bonus.
Landing the Free Spins symbol on reel 5 during the feature will add 3 more free spins.
Bonus Spins
When both bonus symbols land on reels 1 and 3 and the Bonus symbol lands on reel 5, you are awarded the Bonus Spins.
You are awarded with 3 free spins where only gold symbols, crystal symbols and blank symbols appear.
Each gold symbol that appears is collected and adds a +1 to the bottom of the screen into a cart. The total value of this cart is awarded once the bonus ends.
Special crystal symbols can also appear and will award the following:
- Sapphire – increases the cart value by +3
- Emerald – increases the cart value by +5 and adds 1 more spin
- Ruby – increases the cart value by +10 and adds 1 more spin
- Diamond – increases the cart value by +25 and adds 3 more spins
Verdict
Mine Blown is a pretty basic slot in my opinion. It comes with a lot of features, but somehow they are never really exciting.
The random wilds and TNT wilds appear often and do make the base game a little more interesting.
Then we have free spins, which, after playing them over 20 times, never seem to get some solid wins. The sticky wilds are very hard to get.
Bonus spins are pretty fun, but if you don’t get any crystal symbol, their are over within seconds, which is also a bit of shame.
I like how the game looks and I also think it’s nice it’s a medium volatile game, but overall Mine Blown didn’t impress me.
