Mining Rush is a cluster pays slot where the reels are set deep within a mine and a happy gold digging guy stand next to the reels. It’s one of those looks, or themes that feels very familiar.
The game uses 7 reels that are 7 symbols high and comes with cluster pays. Five or more of the same symbols that are vertically and/or horizontally connected count as a winning combination.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find mining equipment and the miner guy as the highest paying symbol. There are no wilds symbols on this game, but there are bonus symbols, which is a stick of TNT, on all reels.
Mining Rush comes with a nice big maximum win of 10.000 times bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Tumbles
Winning clusters are removed from the reels and all remaining symbols fall down into the empty spots. New symbols that fall on top, creating the option for another win. This keeps continuing until no new winning combinations appear.
Nuggets Feature
Whenever 1 or 2 scatter symbols appear with at least 1 winning combination, the scatter symbols will change into a nugget. A nugget can be a bronze, silver, gold or diamond level.
Each time you get another winning tumble during the same spin, all nuggets can randomly award a cash reward. Each time they pay out, they will get a new bullet point and each time you get 3, the nugget levels up to a more valuable metal, like from bronze to silver and so on.
Levels pay as follow:
- Bronze – between 1 and 5 times bet
- Silver – Between 6 and 20 times bet
- Gold – Between 25 and 100 times bet
- Diamond – Between 200 and 1.000 times bet
Free Spins Feature
3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 scatter symbols award 8, 10, 12, 15 and 20 free spins respectively.
All triggering scatter symbols will become random nuggets. All nuggets are locked and will stay until the end of the free spins. So nuggets can only go up in level, as explained above.
New scatter symbols appearing during free spins will also become a nugget as long as a winning combination also occurs when it hits.
Each new scatter symbol that transforms into a nugget will add 2 more free spins.
Bonus Buy
For 100 times your bet you are able to buy the free spins feature. This will guarantee a minimum of 3 scatter symbols.
Verdict
Mining Rush is a decent new game. The theme does work against it a bit, in my opinion, because it’s a bit generic.
But the features are fine and especially during free spins you are able to get some great rewards.
Overall it’s not a game I think I will remember in 2 or 3 months time. But I am sure some players will absolutely love it.
