Narcos Mexico Overview
Almost three years ago NetEnt released a game called Narcos. Themed around the popular TV show. This game was released with a lot of fanfare, but really didn’t make a big impact.
Now Red Tiger Gaming is trying again with Narcos Mexico. Also a TV show, in fact a spinoff of the original.
The game revolves around the drug cartels in Mexico. With a million dollar villa in the background and different cartel bosses together with standard card symbols.
Played on 5 reels, each 3 symbols high and 243 ways.
The game features wild symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4 and bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5.
Narcos Mexico comes with a solid maximum payout of 10.486 times your bet.
Narcos Mexico Features
During normal spins a airplane might appear and drop random wild symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. After this the reels will stop spinning.
After a winning spin this trigger might randomly trigger and double your total win.
When you win 100 times or more your bet during a spin you can exchange this win for 3 Cartel Spins. If you win between 30 and 100 times your bet you can gamble your win to try and win 3 Cartel Spins. This might also result in a loss.
Get three bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 or use the Win Exchange to trigger 3 Cartel Spins.
These spins are played on a grid of 10×10 symbols, where the 4 corners are covered with the 4 different cartel leaders.
You will get 3 spins and only blank symbols, question mark symbols, phones or airplanes appear. If one or more of these symbols connect with a Cartel Leader they lock in place and the spins reset to 3. These symbols will reveal one of the following:
- Question Mark – Reveals a multiplier
- Phone – doubles all multipliers in the same territory it connects to
- Airplane – increases all multipliers in the same territory between 1 and 5
These spins will increase the territories of the 4 different leaders. When territories of leaders meet you will get a battle and one of them will win and will take over the other territory.
The spins end when the entire grid is filled or when you run out of spins. After this you are awarded with the total multiplier times your bet.
Red Tiger Gaming did a great job with Narcos Mexico. The game looks and feels a lot like the original Narcos game. Although the original might win on looks.
But this game definitely wins on bonuses and maximum payout. The random bonuses keep the game active and that respin bonus is a lot of fun. And even better, the maximum payout is over 10.000 times your bet.
I would definitely suggest giving Narcos Mexico a try. It’s a really enjoyable game. Maybe even more if you like the TV show.
