About a week ago I reviewed an Endorphina slot game called Janissaries. And now a week later they have released a new slot game called Starshine Crystals. But to give a heads up, it’s the exact same game except with a different theme.
For Starshine Crystals they went with an anime theme with a sort of Sailor Moon character. With colorful gems and jewelry as symbols. The main character on top of the reels surrounded by crystals.
The game uses 6 reels that are each 5 symbols high and uses a scatter pays mechanism. Meaning that 8 or more of the same symbols anywhere on screen, count as a winning combination. And the game also comes with cascading symbols, so winning symbols are removed and new symbols will then fall on top, creating the option for another win.
Besides normal paying symbols you will also find scatter symbols on all reels. The game doesn’t use any wild symbols. But there are special multiplier symbols and during free spins even a special star symbol.
Starshine Crystals comes with a big maximum payout of 10.000 times bet and is a high volatile slot game.

Multipliers
During both the base game and during free spins, random multiplier symbols can land on the reels.
These multiplier symbols have a value of between x2 and x1000.
After all winning cascades are done, all multiplier symbols on the reels are collected and added the together and the total win of that spin is multiplied.
Free Spins Feature
4 or more scatter symbols will award 15 free spins.
During free spins, each time multipliers are used, the number is also collected into a general multiplier. If new multipliers appear and a winning combination occurs, the general multiplier is also added and the multiplier will grow with the new multipliers added.
There is also a special star symbol in play during free spins, when this symbol appears, all low paying symbols are removed from the reels and only medium and high paying symbols are then added to the reels.
3 or more scatter symbols during free spins will add 5 more free spins.

For 149 times your bet you are able to buy the free spins feature which will award 15 free spins. For 497 time bet you can also buy free spins, but the lowest multipliers of x2, x3, x4 and x5 don’t appear during these free spins.
Verdict
Like Janissares, Starshine Crystals is a lot like Gates of Olympus by Pragmatic Play.
The rest is exactly the same. I liked Janissaries, so I also like Starlight Crystals. It’s more a choice which theme you liked the most and decide which one you would like to play.
