Tomb of Gold 2 – Overview
Over a year ago, Play’n Go released a slot game called Tomb of Gold. Now they have added a sequel called Tomb of Gold 2, which is almost the exact same game, but with an added jackpot feature and a bigger payout.
The theme is the same as earlier, an Egyptian theme where the reels are set inside an ancient tomb with flames and hieroglyphics.
The game uses 6 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 4096 ways instead of paylines. Meaning that symbols pay from left to right, starting on the first reel, no matter where they are.
Besides standard, low paying card symbols, you will also find high paying Egyptian themed symbols. There are also scatter and wild symbols on all reels. And last we have golden coins, which can also appear on each reel.
Tomb of Gold 2 comes with a bigger maximum payout than the original, 10.000 times your bet. And is a higher volatile slot game.
Features
Lock’n Gold Feature
If you land a golden coin symbol on each of the reels, you will trigger the Lock’n Gold Feature. If you land 4 or 5 coins, you will trigger a second chance, to get the 5th and/or 6th coin.
You will receive 3 re-spins and only blank spots and golden coins can appear. Each time a new golden coin appears, it is locked in place and re-spins are reset back to three.
The feature ends when you have no more re-spins or have filled the entire screen.
Each golden coin will now reveal a multiplier of between x1 and x10, which is applied to your total bet. A full screen will award a reward of 500x bet.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award the free spins feature.
Before free spins start you will spin a wheel to determine your starting number of free spins and starting multiplier. The wheel will award between 15 and 30 free spins with a starting multiplier of between x1 and x5.
During free spins feature each scatter will award 1 more free spin and each wild will increase the multiplier by x1, x2 or x3, depending on what multiplier is on the wild symbol. The maximum free spins is 65, there is no maximum multiplier mentioned.
Stack of Gold
If 5 or less coins land on the reels, they are collected on top in a gold stack. And there is a chance the stack is triggered. This bonus will award 1 of the jackpot amounts, which are worth x20, x50, x100 and x1.000 times bet. This feature can only trigger during base spins, since coins don’t appear during free spins.
Verdict
To be honest, there hasn’t been put a lot into this sequel. The theme is the same and even most features are the same.
The difference is that this game comes with a couple of jackpots, although not that high to be honest. And a bigger maximum win. And that’s about it.
It’s a fine game, so was the original. So if you liked that one, you will also enjoy this one.
