Piggy Heist – Overview
Earlier this year Play’n Go released a game called Crabby’s Gold. A pirate themed slot with a huge maximum win potential.
Well, I am thinking that the game might not has a big impact. Because now they are releasing Piggy Heist. Which is a direct copy of that title. But now with a pig theme. Like we’ve seen many times before on slot games.
The game uses 6 reels which are each 4 symbols high and uses 4096 ways instead of paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying pig symbols there also an array of other symbols. First there are wild symbols, which can appear on all reels, except the first reel and can also be upgraded, more on that below. Then we have stethoscopes which are collected to upgrade the wild symbols. And lastly we have coin symbols on all reels and pouch symbols on reels 1 and 6. Also more on that below.
Piggy Heist comes with a huge maximum payout of 70.000 times your bet but is still a medium volatile game.
Features
Wilds
Each stethoscope that appears on the reels is collected into a meter on the right of the reels. Each time you collect 6 of them, you will unlock a new stage, which will add a new special wild to the reels. All the wilds stay active, so all types can land once you have activated them.
- Stage 1 – normal wild
- Stage 2 – multiplier wild with x2, x3, x5 or x5
- Stage 3 – expanding wild and multiplier expanding wild with values of x1, x2, x3, x4 or x5
- Stage 4 – expanding sticky wild and multiplier expanding sticky wild with values of x1, x2, x3, x4 or x5 and 3 re-spins when landed
- Stage 5 – expanding walking wild that moves one reel to the left after each spin, until it walks of the reels
- Stage 6 – mega wild of 2×2 symbols big
Coin Collect
Pouch symbols can land on reel 1 and 6. And whenever one or both land, they will collect all values from any coins on the screen. Coins come with a value of between 0,5 and 25 times bet.
Hold’n Spin
Each time coins aren’t collected into a pouch, as explained above, they are added to a vault on the left of the reels. This vault will activate at random when coins are collected and will trigger the Hold’n Spin bonus.
During these spins only coins appear and you will receive 3 re-spins. Each time a new coin lands, the re-spins are reset. After you run out of spins all coins will reveal a value of between x1 and x30 times bet. After this you also get the option to gamble your win, double or nothing.
Verdict
Let me start by saying, they put very little effort into this slot game. Piggy Heist is an exact copy, only with another theme. And to be honest, that theme is pretty basic and doesn’t really pull me in.
As with the original game, there are a lot of features, but nothing really new. There are all sorts of wilds and even some re-spins and then we have a collection bonus and a Hold and Spin Bonus.
And it seems that the Hold & Spin bonus isn’t where you get the biggest wins, at least from what I read, that bonus can go up to 11.520 times bet. So I’m guessing base game can pay that massive 70.000 times bet. Which sounds a bit hard to believe, but I am trusting it can.
It’s the same game and I wasn’t a big fan of Crabby’s Gold to start with. This pig theme excites me even less.
