Rosy Orbit, Treasure Turn – Overview
Play’n Go has released a rather unique new slot game called Rosy Orbit, Treasure Turn. Which I will call Rosy Orbit.
This new game comes with a sort of aviation, fairy tale theme. With roses in the background, a princess, wolf, butterflies and more. The reels set against a full moon. It also feels a bit like an anime maybe.
The game uses 5 reels that are 5 symbols high and comes with 3125 ways instead of paylines. So symbols pay left to right, starting on the first reel no matter where they are placed on the reels.
Besides low paying card symbols and the medium to high paying symbols mentioned above, there are also scatter symbols that can appear on all reels. Wilds can also appear, but only because of a random feature..
Rosy Orbit comes with a maximum payout of 6.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Treasure Turn
After each win, the Treasure Turn feature is triggered. All winning symbols are removed from the reels, and the grid rotates 90 degrees counterclockwise. All remaining symbols fall down and new symbols fall on top, creating the option for another win and another Treasure Turn.
Starfall
During a Treasure Turn there is a random chance the Starfall feature is activated. This will remove random symbols from the reels and/or adds wild symbols to the reels.
Colossal symbols and Crushing Multipliers
The game also features colossal symbols which are 2×2 symbols big.
After a Treasure Turn, if there are empty spots under a colossal symbol, this symbol will crush the other symbols. And for each crush the colossal symbol will get a x1 multiplier.
Free Spins Feature
Getting 3 scatter symbols, either by crushes or instantly, will award 8 free spins.
During free spins, all colossal symbols already come with a x3 multiplier. And each time the Treasure Turn feature triggered 4 times, meaning the reels make a full 360 degrees turn. This multiplier goes up by x1.
Each scatter appearing during free spins will add 2 more free spins up to a maximum of 60 free spins.
Verdict
To be honest, I really like when studios try something new, something different with a game. But most of the times, I end up not liking the game, because it’s too weird, or different.
With Rosy Orbit, that’s not the case for me. I like this game and I think the turning reels work very well. It makes for something different that isn’t too out there and works well with all the mechanisms and features.
But I am guessing not everybody will enjoy this. I think this one is really a personal taste, either love it or hate, I guess.
