Tales of Mithrune – Syn’s Fortune Overview
In 2022 Play’n Go released a game called Champions of Mithrune. A game with its own world and characters. And now they have released a second game within this world called Tales of Mithrune – Syn’s Fortune. Maybe they are starting a new series within this theme.
As I mentioned above, the game comes with its own fantasy theme of different characters within a world called Mithrune. The same 5 characters are back, with some slight alterations.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 4 symbols high and comes with 20 lines.
Besides standard low paying card symbols and the 5 high paying characters, you will also find wild symbols on all reels. All symbols, including the wild symbols, can appear stacked on all reels. Last we have scatter symbols, which only appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 and are not stacked.
Tales of Mithrune – Syn’s Fortune comes with a maximum payout of 3.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Character Upgrade
The character next to the reels is Syn, hence the name. During any base spin he might randomly pick one of the 4 other characters and upgrade it into his own character, which is the highest paying symbol.
Power up your Free Spins
Getting all three scatter symbols at the same time will trigger the free spins feature.
Before free spins start you first get a respin feature with 3 lives. Now only special symbols and blank spots land. Collect special symbols and fill the different meters to add more modifiers during free spins. Each time a symbol lands, the lives are reset back to 3. This feature ends when you run out of lives or reaching the maximum number of spins and multipliers. After this the free spins will start.
The symbols you can collect are:
- Characters – Collect 3 of the same character to have that character always be upgraded during any free spin
- Potions – Each time you collect 3 potions the multiplier will go up by x1, up to a maximum of x10. Multipliers only apply to Syn symbols landing on the middle reel
- Scatters – Each time you collect 3 scatter symbols you will get 1 more free spin, up to a maximum of 10
After this the free spins are played. Here you can no longer win more free spins, scatter symbols don’t appear during the free spins.
Verdict
It’s nice how they added a second title to this world. Because both games do look nice.
I also like the free spins feature on Syn’s Fortune with the respins, symbols upgrading and multipliers.
The first game had features for each character, this one only comes with the Syn character and the upgrading. While some players might miss more features, I like the fact that this one is a bit cleaner.
I do however which it would have had the same maximum payout as the first one. Which is now more than half of what it used to be.
I think plenty of players will enjoy Tales of Mithrune – Syn’s Fortune. And let’s see if Play’n Go is going to continue with this series.
