White Rabbit 2 – Overview
It’s been 8 years, back in 2017, when Big Time Gaming released a huge hit of a slot game, White Rabbit. The game with an Alice in Wonderland theme and increasing reels during free spins made for a very popular slot game. It was also one of the first online slots using a bonus buy mechanism. And we know what we have today, almost every slots offers it.
Now after a long wait, they have released a sequel simply called White Rabbit 2.
The theme has stayed pretty much the same. Alice in Wonderland, with the same look and symbols as the original.
The game uses 5 reels that are between 2 and 7 symbols high during each base spin. Meaning it’s a Megaways slot that can give up to 16.807 ways during the base game.
Besides low paying card symbols and high paying gem symbols you will also find scatter symbols on all reels. Wild symbols can appear on each reel, except the first one. And lastly there are coins that can also appear on all reels.
White Rabbit 2 comes with a massive maximum payout of 133.100 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Hold and Spin
6 or more coins symbols will trigger the Hold and Spin feature. You are awarded with 3 re-spins.
During re-spins only blank spots, coins, characters and jackpot symbols appear.
Each time one or more coins land on the reels, the re-spins are reset back to 3. Landing 3 of the same jackpot names will award the associated jackpot.
There are also characters that can appear. Each character comes with its own bonus:
- White Rabbit – multiplies the value of one random coin by up to x10
- Alice – gains the value of all coins on screen
- Red Queen – collects all coins and takes the total value
- Cheshire Cat – reveals a prize of up to 5x your bet and adds it to all coins on the reels
- Dodo – collects the values of all coins on that specific reel
- Mad Hatter – gains the value of one random coin
- Twins – awards two coins with the same value of up to x20
Lastly there is the Cupcake symbol, which when it lands will add 1 more symbol to the reel it lands on. Up to a maximum of 12 per reel.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 12, 16 and 20 free spins respectively.
Free spins start with the reels between 5 and 7 symbols high, which stay like that each spin. Each cupcake symbol that appears on a reel will increase that reel by 1 symbol, up to maximum of 12 symbols per reel.
Each time a reel reached 12 symbols in height, you are awarded with between 3 and 12 extra free spins.
If all reels are 12 symbols high you will have the maximum of 248.832 ways.
Hold and Spin feature is also available during free spins.
Bonus Buy
You are able to buy the Hold and Spin feature for 35x bet and the free spins for 100x bet, this will award 12 free spins.
Verdict
White Rabbit was a very innovating slot when it came out and it’s no wonder it became an instant hit for Big Time Gaming.
This sequel doesn’t really change a lot from the original, but does add a Hold and Win feature. These types of features are still very popular, for some reason. I personally am a bit done with them. I have seen them by know and hope providers will come up with something new, or more interesting.
The maximum win has been massively improved, from 13.000 times bet to over 100.000 times bet. So for maximum win alone, you should definitely play the sequel.
For me, I would play this sequel because it offers two main features and a much bigger win possibility. But overall I wished the game featured something more interesting than an added Hold and Win bonus.
