Xmas Bells – Overview
I rarely post about new Novomatic slot games. Mainly because I seem to miss them a lot of the time. But I thought, for the Holidays, let’s start again.
Novomatic has released a new, Christmas themed, slot game called Xmas Bells.
It’s a pretty basic theme with a girl in a Christmas hat, candy canes and bells. Where the reels are set against a Christmas scene with Christmas trees at night.
The game uses 5 reels that are 3, 4, 4, 4 and 3 symbols high and is uses 576 ways instead of lines. Meaning symbols pay from left to right, starting on reel 1, no matter where on the reels.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying Christmas symbols you will also find stacked wild symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. And lastly there are bells, which can also appear stacked on reels 2, 3 and 4, but can also appear single in reels 1 and 5.
Novomatic doesn’t really list maximum payouts or volatility.

Bonus Spins Feature
5 or more bells anywhere on the reels will trigger the bonus feature. Bell some with a random cash value.
You are awarded with 3 free spins where only blank symbols and bells appear. All triggering bells will be locked in place. Each time a new bell symbol lands, it is held and the spins are reset back to 3.
The feature ends when you run out of spins, or when you will fill all reels with bells.
Reels 1 and 5 come with special bells. When a bell appears on reels 1, it will increase a multiplier from x1 to x2, x3 and finally x5 and the bell will then get a random value. The multiplier is applied at the end of all spins.
When a bell appears on reel 5, it will open up an extra row of symbols on reels 2, 3 and 4. This can happen 3 times. The bell will then also change into a money value.
Verdict
Xmas Bells is a pretty basic slot game. One of those games that comes with a Hold & Spin feature.
But I think it’s enjoyable. It uses 576 ways and can also award those stacked wilds on reels 2, 3 and 4, which can award some solid wins when enough hit.
And during the free spins you have those special bells with an increasing multiplier and increasing ways, which is also a nice added feature.
It’s nothing groundbreaking, it’s nothing new, but it’s a fun enjoyable Christmas themed slot game.
