I’m trying to add some more slot reviews and releases from different providers, so I thought it would be nice to review the latest Christmas themed slot release from Endorphina.
The game is called Xmas Burst and comes with a very cute looking, colorful Christmas theme. The reels are set within a wooden cabin, baubles hang beside it and a cute little Santa sits on his sled.
You will find 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and the game uses 20 lines.
Besides low paying gem symbols you will also find high paying Christmas themed symbols like bells and stockings. Then there are scatter symbols on all reels except reel 1, in the form of a Christmas gift. Lastly there are special exploding wild symbols which can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4.

Features
Tumbles and increasing multiplier
Winning combinations are removed from the reels and all remaining symbols fall down. New symbols then fall on top creating the option for another win.
After each tumble a general multiplier will go up from x1 to x2, x3, x4 and finally x5. This multiplier resets when no more new winning tumbles appear and you have a new spin.
Exploding Wilds
Wild symbols appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only and count for any normal paying symbol.
When a wild symbol isn’t used in a winning combination, it will explode and removes all symbols adjacent to it, with it. This also counts as tumble and will increase the multiplier.
Free Spins Feature
3 or 4 scatter symbols will award 10 and 20 free spins respectively.
During free spins the multipliers are increased. You now start at x3 and it will increase to x5, x7, x9 and finally x15 after each winning tumble. It will still reset between free spins.
During free spins scatters only appear on reels 1, 2 and 3 and hitting all three will add 10 more free spins.
Bonus Buy
For 56 times your bet you can buy 10 free spins. For 112 times your bet you can buy 20 free spins.
Verdict
If you are little bit familiar with online slot games you might instantly recognize this game as Gonzo’s Quest by NetEnt. It used the same principle with the tumbling symbols and increasing multipliers which are also higher during free spins.
But Endorphina added an exploding wild symbol and the option to but free spins, which is a nice added touch.
To be honest, Xmas Burst is nothing new and nothing really special. But it does like very cute and is overall a fun game to play. Especially during the Holidays.
