Banana Rush – Overview
A month ago Play’n Go released a game called Divina Commedia – I nove Cerchi. Which was a bit of a dark themed slot game. Somehow, they have now released Banana Rush. The exact same slot game, but with a cute animal theme.
Not sure why they release a clone that quickly after the original release, but here we are.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find high paying animal symbols. There are also wild and scatter symbols on all reels. And lastly there are cash symbols (bananas) and special bananas in a basket symbol that can appear on reel 5.
Banana Rush comes with maximum payout of 3.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Banana Basket
On each reel special banana symbols can appear, which are cash symbols can come with a value of between x1 and x100 times bet. There is also a basket symbol on reel 5. When a basket appears and there are also bananas on the reels, the basket will collect the bananas and instantly pay out the values.
Hold & Re-spin
When banana symbols land, but no basket, the gorilla on top of the reels will collect them. But at random he can also put them back on the reels and trigger a Hold & Re-spin feature.
You are awarded with 3 free spins and only blank spots and bananas can appear. Each time a new banana appears, it is held and you get 3 more free spins. After all re-spins are done you are paid the total of all bananas. If you manage to fill the entire reels, you are awarded an extra 1.000 bet bonus.
Free Spins Feature
3, 4 or 5 scatter symbols will award 9, 12 and 15 free spins respectively.
Before free spins start, a wheel will spin which will award a modifier.
- Win Multiplier Modifier – a multiplier comes into play
- Banana Modifier – low value banana symbols are replaced by high value banana symbols
- Basket Modifier – the basket appears more often during free spins
Each time you collect 4 baskets during free spins you will receive 5 extra free spins and also another spin on the wheel for a new modifiers or an upgraded modifier.
Verdict
I was not a big fan of Divina Commedia – I Nove Cerchi. So it should be no surprise that I’m also not at all impressed by Banana Rush.
I like the theme a little better for the game it is. I thought the very dark theme didn’t really fit that well, this, simple cute theme, fits better.
But for the rest. Pretty basic gameplay, basic features and really nothing special about Banana Rush.
