Pragmatic Play has released a new Megaways slot game called Blazing Wilds Megaways. Which I don’t think is a Megaways version from a normal slot game.
The game comes with a pretty classic, basic theme. In fact, you might even say it doesn’t really have a theme, except for a female jester next to the reels.
You will find 6 reels that are between 2 and 7 symbols high during each spin. Giving up to a maximum of 117.649 Megaways per spin.
Besides standard card symbols you will also find symbols like diamonds and sevens. There are also wild symbols on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. And scatter symbols can appear on all reels.
Blazing Wilds Megaways comes with a maximum payout of 10.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Tumbles
Winning combinations are removed from the reels and all remaining symbols fall down. New symbols fall on top to fill in the empty spots and can award another winning combination and the process keeps repeating until no new winning combinations appear.
Expanding Wilds
When one or more wild symbols land on reels 2, 3, 4 and/or 5, they will expand to the top of the reels.
After that a multiplier will appear in the empty box on top of the specific reel with the same multiplier as the number of wilds on the reel.
All winning combinations using the wild symbols will be multiplied by that number. If more than one multipliers are present, they also multiply each other.
Multipliers are removed when used in a winning combination.
Free Spins Feature
4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols will award 15, 20 and 25 free spins respectively.
During free spins, multipliers that appear because of an expanding wild symbol is now doubled. So if 3 wild symbols appear, the multiplier is x6, instead of x3.
You can’t win more free spins during this feature.
Buy Bonus
Some casinos will offer the option to buy the free spins feature for 100 times your bet. This will award 4, 5 or 6 scatter symbols.
Verdict
Most Megaways slots have a top row of symbols and when I started this game, I thought it also had that row. But it didn’t, that row is only used for that wild multiplier, which did confuse me at first, but of course works fine.
The fact that wilds expand upwards and then give a multiplier is a nice feature and I think also something we haven’t seen before. It’s also nice that free spins will double those multipliers.
But the multiplier is also the only thing that can increase your wins. There is no general multiplier that goes up after each winning tumble. Which some players might miss or prefer.
The theme is really non existing, but somehow doesn’t really matter on this game, it’s not like I miss a specific theme.
Overall, Blazing Wilds Megaways is a good game with an interesting feature and big win potential.
