In 2025 Hacksaw Gaming released a game called Bullets and Bounty. Which now is receiving some upgrades on the latest release called Epic Bullets and Bounty.
This one uses more of those Duelreels, which they also used on the recently released Eternal Duel.
This game comes with a Western theme revolving around a female sheriff.
The game uses 5 reels that are 5 symbols high and comes with 19 paylines.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying western themed items, you will also find wild symbols on all reels. Scatter symbols can also appear on each reel. And lastly the same goes for special VS symbols.
Epic Bullets and Bounty comes with a big maximum payout of 20.000 times your bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
DuelReels
Two special symbols, VS and Bounty VS, can appear on all reels. If one or more of these symbols land, they will become an expanded wild if they can be part of a winning combination.
A Bounty Hunter and an Outlaw appear and will duel to award one of the multipliers, which are x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50 or x100.
The Bounty VS symbol uses the same principle, but adds that each time the Bounty Hunter wins, you get another round and the multipliers are added together. This can happen three consecutive times, provided she wins each time, allowing her multiplier to grow significantly.
Free Spins Features
When 3 or more scatter symbols appear you will trigger a free spins feature. Depending on how many scatters trigger the bonus, determines which bonus you get. If you get 3 or 4 scatters, you can gamble the feature to get the better feature.
- True Grit – 3 scatter symbols – 10 free spins – uses the same mechanisms as the base game but introduce a progressive multiplier added to the Bounty VS symbol. Each time a Bounty VS is triggered, the resulting multiplier carries over and becomes the starting value for the next Bounty VS activation. 2 or 3 scatter symbols during the feature adds 2 and 4 extra free spins respectively.
- Four Shots to Freedom – 4 scatter symbols – 10 free spins – uses the same features as True Grit, but also adds a Bullets & Bounty Bar, which can award extra free spins as well as DuelSpins featuring guaranteed VS symbols. You reach new levels by hitting Bounty VS symbols and winning the duels. Each time you win 3 duels, you move to the next level, which will award:
- Level 1: 3 extra spins and a DuelSpin with at least 2 VS symbols
- Level 2: 3 extra spins and a DuelSpin with at least 3 VS symbols
- Level 3: 3 extra spins and a DuelSpin with at least 4 VS symbols
- Level 4: 3 extra spins and a DuelSpin with 5 VS symbols
- Go Ahead, Make her Day – 5 scatter symbols – 10 free spins – Uses the features from True Grit and Four Shots to Freedom combined. You also start on the first level of the progress bar. So the first spin already awards 3 extra free spins and a spin with at least 2 VS symbols.
Bonus Buy
Epic Bullets and Bounty offers several bonus buy options. For 5x the bet you can activate a 10 times higher chance of triggering the bonus. 100x the bet will guarantee you to land at least 2 VS and/or Bounty VS symbols. 100x the bet can also guarantee you 1 Bounty VS symbol. For 100x the bet you can buy True Grit. For 200x the bet you can buy Four Shots of Freedom. And on this game you can even buy the best bonus, Go Ahead, Make her Day, for 1.000 times bet.
Verdict
I know that this Epic version is somewhat of a remake with some added, or other, features. But I never played or reviewed the original. So I am just talking about this version.
The game seems to combine mechanisms Hacksaw Gaming has used before. But did so on a very nice looking game with a cool western theme.
The expanding wilds with the VS and Bounty VS symbols keep the base game interesting. And of course during free spins these features come even more into play.
It’s also nice that they added to option to buy the Go Ahead, Make her Day bonus. Not all Hacksaw Gaming slots offer that option to buy the best bonus. But of course, this does come at a very big prize.
Overall Epic Bullets and Bounty is a solid title with a good amount of bonuses and free spins features. And a very well done theme.
