Joker Miner – Overview
Only a couple of days ago I made a review for a 5-pot slot game called 5 Witch Pots. And now Endorphina already released another 5-spot slot game called Joker Miner,
The theme is a bit of a weird mix. A joker theme combined with a mining theme. Which in my honest opinion, doesn’t really work very well. It’s just a mix of 2 overly used themes.
The game uses 3 reels which are each 4 symbols high and comes with 25 paylines.
All normal paying symbols appear stacked on all reels. Wild symbols can appear on all reels except the first reel, but don’t appear stacked. Lastly there are differently colored tokens, which appear on top of normal paying symbols and are collected into the corresponding mining carts on top of the reels.
Joker Miner comes with a maximum payout of 2.500 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Each time a colored token lands, it is collected by the corresponding cart on top of the reels. At random one of these five features can trigger when its corresponding token is collected.
- Orange – Boost – You are awarded 3 re-spins when only blank spots and coins appear. Each time a new coin appears, it is held and the re-spins are reset back to 3. There are also special boost symbols with a value of up to 10x bet. When these land, they will add their own value to all other coins on the reels. Feature ends when you run out of spins or when you fill all spots, which will award an extra reward of 1.000x bet.
- Purple – Collector –You are awarded 3 re-spins when only blank spots and coins appear. Each time a new coin appears, it is held and the re-spins are reset back to 3. There are also special collector symbols which will take the value of all normal coins on the screen. Feature ends when you run out of spins or when you fill all spots, which will award an extra reward of 1.000x bet.
- Green – Pick’em Bonus – You get 10 picks, keep picking gems to reveal cash prizes or a star. Finding a star will award an extra pick. Finding all three stars will award 1.000x bet on top of the collected gems.
- Blue – Jackpot – Keep picking carts to reveal three of the same jackpots and win that jackpot.
- Red – Free spins – You are awarded with 20 free spins where reel 3 becomes a wild reel. You can’t win any of the other features, or extra free spins during this feature.
Verdict
To be honest, Joker Miner feels almost the same as the 5 With Pots slot released earlier this week. There are some different bonuses, but the main mechanism of the 5 different bonuses, a lot of them pick or Hold & Spin bonuses, is the same..
It’s not really a very innovative slot game, or even a solid theme. It’s a very basic game with basic features we have seen before.
But overall, it’s also a pretty simple game and I know some players love more straightforward slot games.
