Fruity Treats Overview
Pragmatic Play has released a new online slot game called Fruity Treats. It’s one of those colorful fruit and candy themed slots, like we’ve seen before. Fruity Treats comes with a grid of 7 by 7 symbols. And it uses cluster pays. 5 or more of the same symbols that are horizontally and/or vertically connected, count as a winning combination.
Then you also have collapsing symbols, or tumbles. Winning symbols are removed and all remaining symbols fall down. New symbols then fall on top, creating the option for another win.
Besides all the different candy type and fruit symbols, there are also scatter symbols on all reels. Wild symbols don’t appear on this game.
Fruity Treats comes with a maximum payout of 5.000 times bet and is a high volatile slot game.
Features
Multiplier Spots
On the reels you will find 4 differently colored spots that move to a new position after each spin and winning tumble.
When a winning combination appears on top of one of these spots, they become activated and that specific color will receive a random multiplier. The starting multipliers of the red, purple, teal and blue spots are x5, x10, x15 or x20 respectively.
Any new winnings on that colored spot will now be multiplied by the active multiplier. And will again add another random number to the spot.
More than one colored spot can be activated and if more than one active spot is on a winning combination, the multipliers are added together.
After all winning tumbles are done, the multipliers are reset.
Free Spins Feature
3 or more scatter symbols will award 10 free spins.
During free spins the special Multiplier Spots don’t reset between free spins and can only go up.
3 or more scatter symbols during free spins will add 5 more free spins.
Bonus Buy
Some casinos offer the option to buy free spins for 100 times your bet. For 200 times your bet you can bu special free spins where all starting multipliers start at x20.
Verdict
This is one of those games that we’ve seen before. Cluster pays on a grid of symbols with tumbles. Pragmatic Play even has a lot of these type of games.
And they are popular and very enjoyable. But somehow these games are, a lot of the time, very non specific. It’s almost always candy or fruits, or both. Which is a shame. I think if the theme was more interesting, a lot more players would notice these games.
