I feel like it’s been a while since I last reviewed a Quickspin slot game, but it seems that Brawler’s Brew was my last review and that was only a month ago. So, I’m not sure why it feels like that. But here we are with their latest slot game release called Honeylock’s Pots. And as the name might suggest, it’s a Goldilocks themed slot with a three pots mechanism.
These three pots mechanisms have been extremely popular lately, well at least with providers it seems.
As with most Quickspin slot games, Honeylock’s Pots looks very colorful with clear symbols and a cute theme.
The game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 30 lines.
Besides low paying card symbols you will also find medium and high paying Three Bear symbols like a bed and a bowl of porridge. But you will also find wild symbols which can appear on all reels. Lastly there are three different special symbols, which correspond with the three bears on top of the reels.
Honeylock’s Pots comes with a pretty low maximum payout of 2.500 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Features
Expanding wilds
When one or more wild symbols appear, at random, they can become expanding wilds and cover the entire reel. If a wild expands, all wilds expand.
Bonus
As I mentioned above, there are three differently types of special symbols corresponding with three different bears on top of the reels.
Each time one or more of these symbols land, they are collected on top of the reels by the corresponding bear. The three bears on top of the reels can randomly trigger, awarding a Hold and Re-spin feature.
Only coins and bears appear during these spins and each coin or bear that appears is held, resetting the number of spins.
One, two or all three bears can trigger. Combining the features together.
- Grabber – Adds all values of all other coins to its own symbol.
- Prizepot – Each Prizepot symbol moves the meter up one step. If you reach a certain prize, that prize is added to the Prizepot symbol on the reels.
- Expander – Unlocks between 2 and 5 spots on the locked area. If a heart is unlocked you will increase the number of re-spins from 3 to 4, to finally 5.
Buy Bonus
For 30, 50 and 85 times your bet you can buy the bonus with 1, 2 or all 3 bears active.
Verdict
I mean, to be honest, it’s just another one of those three pots slot games. And there isn’t much more to say about it.
The theme is very nicely done, but that’s never a problem with Quickspin.
Gameplay itself isn’t very interesting in my opinion. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before and the maximum win is pretty low, so it also doesn’t get really exciting.
I think it’s one of those games that some players will enjoy. But the more die-hard slot players will skip.
