Smokey, the popular raccoon from Hacksaw Gaming is back with a new online slot game. And this time it’s for Christmas, hence the name Le Santa. Where he is now dressed as Santa instead of for instance Zeus or a cowboy.
Reels are set within a winter forest and Smokey, as always, is standing next to reels. Most of time complaining and angry.
The game uses 6 reels that are 5 symbols high and comes with a cluster pays mechanism. 5 or more of the same symbols that are horizontally and/or vertically connected, count as winning combination. You will also find tumbles or reactions on this game. Winning clusters are removed and also all matching symbols anywhere else on the reels. The rest of the symbols fall down and new symbols are added from the top. Creating the possibility for several winning combinations in a row, within the same spin.
Besides low paying card symbols and medium to high paying Christmas themed symbols, you will also find scatter symbols on all reels. Wild symbols can also appear on all reels.
Le Santa comes with a very big maximum payout of 20.000 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.

Golden Squares
When a winning cluster is removed, the background of where the symbols where will turn into golden squares.
When a rainbow symbol is present on the reels, after all winning clusters are paid, all those golden squares will turn into cash symbols or special symbols.
- Coins will award between 0,2x and 500x bet (these appear as bronze, silver and golden)
- Clovers multiply the values of all Coins adjacent with between x2 and x20
- Bag of Present collects all revealed Coins and other bags and takes that value, all other spots will now re-spin and reveal new coins or special symbols
- Jackpots can appear because of golden squares or just land, these are only collected when a rainbow is active
Free Spins Features
3 or more scatter symbols will trigger a free spins feature. Depending on the number of scatters that triggered the feature, you will play a different free spins feature.
- Silent Heist – 3 scatter symbols – 10 free spins where all golden squares stay on the reels until they are activated. 2 or 3 scatter symbols during these spins will add 2 and 4 extra free spins respectively.
- Sleighing It – 4 scatter symbols – 10 free spins where all golden squares will stay on the reels until the end of the free spins, even if they are activated in between. 2 or 3 scatter symbols during these spins will add 2 and 4 extra free spins respectively.

Bonus Buy
Le Santa offers several bonus buy options. For 3x the bet you can activate a 5 times higher chance of triggering the bonus. 60x the bet will guarantee you to land at least 1 winning combination and 1 rainbow symbol. For 80x the bet you can buy Silent Heist and for 250x the bet you can buy Sleighing It. Wreck the Halls isn’t available as a bonus buy.
Verdict
Apparently Le Santa is a reskin of the game Le King. And game I didn’t review back than. So I wasn’t familiar with this game.
As always, I like the Le theme a lot. I just think it’s funny and I also like that Hacksaw Gaming keeps putting that raccoon in new environments.
The game itself is also a lot of fun. But also does use a lot of features that can also be found on for instance Le Cowboy.
Overall Le Santa is a fun game for the Christmas period with a big maximum win and enough features to keep the game interesting.
