Legacy of Dynasties Overview
Play’n Go already released a bunch of games in their “Legacy” series. All games that use the “Book of” mechanism with expanding symbols. We’ve seen Legacy of Egypt, Legacy of Inca and of course Legacy of Dead. And now they have added Legacy of Dynasties. Taking the game into an Asian theme.
This game uses 5 reels that are each 3 symbols high and comes with 10 lines.
You will find standard card symbols and Asian themed animals and characters. There are also wild symbols on all reels. Scatter symbols appear on reels 1, 3 and 5 only.
Legacy of Dynasties comes with a low maximum payout of 2.300 times your bet and is a medium volatile slot game.
Legacy of Dynasties Features
Expanding Symbols
During any normal spin, at random, up to 10 random symbols (not wild or scatters) can become active to become expanding symbols.
When 3 or more of the same of these symbols land, they will expand and pay, even if symbols aren’t on adjacent reels.
Free Spins Feature
Getting all three scatter symbols at the same time will take you to a wheel which will award 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15 or 20 free spins randomly.
Up to 10 random symbols are picked to become expanding symbols during each free spin.
Landing 2 scatter symbols during free spins will trigger Dynasty Spins. You are awarded between 3 and 8 Dynasty Spins and the expanding symbols that where active during this trigger will stay active during all these extra spins. After which the normal spins continue.
You can only win Dynasty Spins during free spins, you can’t win extra normal free spins. Free spins end when all spins are played or when you reached a total of 70 free spins and Dynasty Spins combined.
Verdict
Legacy of Dynasties is another one of those “Book of” games, but now with an Asian theme instead of the usual Egyptian theme.
The fact that several symbols can become active during the base game and even during free spins is something we haven’t seen a lot before. And makes it fun.
But what makes this game worse than all the others is the maximum payout. Most of these games pay over 5.000 times bet. This one only goes up to 2.300 times and I have no idea why they did so? But it does make the game less exciting somehow.
So for me, Legacy of Dynasties is one of those games that looks amazing, but I will skip and pick one of the other Legacy games, which do come with a higher maximum payout.
